God I loved del la Hoya...hard to remember just how great and ballsy he was seen as he was such a cocksucker of a promoter
That would have been an amazing accomplishment had he won all of those fights. Let’s be honest he beat Trinidad but got horrible advice in the corner from Clancy… I always felt he should have never left Alcazar, to me that’s when he looked his best, he was on his toes bouncing and worked behind his jab more with great combinations.
Probably not. By beating them he would be diminishing their greatness, especially Mayweather's. the main thing people point to when talking about Mayweather's greatness, his undefeated record, would no longer exist.
Absolutely. I give him tons of credit for even taking on all those top guys. When you fight the best you are not going to win all the time. I wish we had more boxers like DLH or Pacman that take on top fighters rather then the babied, protect-the-zero, type mentality of boxers today.
Well, this is due to modern pro boxing fanbase. People easily might tell that you are a bum if you will getL. Pro boxing isn't MT or kickboxing. You also might loss sponsors, advertisements deals might not be offered anymore etc. Concerned to have 0 are guys in all levels, starting from small shows. I had get how valuable is this 0 first time when one guy picked as an opponent guy who asked from promoter more than I for this fight and with this guy's purse had been lower than if he had opted to box with me. Yeah, lesser risky opponent if check up am records. Better is to have 3-0 not 2-1 pr 2-0-1 pro record. Another guy refused to fight with me 6 rounder pro boxing and I can't call him as duck cos he agreed to sign pro KB fight vs me. For boxing he had insisted on 4 rounder, I on 6 rounder.
What’s wrong with you he lost the vast majority of the matches you listed and there are reasons why mainly because he was not good enough. It’s like saying what if my Aunty had a *****? She would be my Uncle. A cross dressing transvestite is hardly likely to be GOAT. Such things not admired by the boxing fraternity in Mexico.
Well if Ken Norton had won all his fights he'd have been the greatest heavyweight of all time,,,,what's the point again?
Not likely ppl had called him as the greatest. Undefeated boxers are thing that still does have " cons " in eyes of forums posters.
I don't have a problem with any calling Robinson, Greb or Langford the GOAT. Even if some came along with superior abilities, their careers will never come close to being matched.
Records cannot be compared across the ages. You can call Robinson or Greb the best of their age, but they were primitive. Different weight classes also make comparisons worthless.
