Well you would be hard pressed to find another Heavyweight with more physical gifts than him. Maybe Wladimir? He was also an extremely confident and determined man.

Lennox would have hurt Wladimir early and he would have still had Manny. Without Manny Wlad was much less than a sure thing.

I agree completely. I wasn't trying to imply Wladimir was a better fighter, just that they both had some pretty special physical tools

Bummox wasn't that great, barely makes the top 10 in my list.

Ali, Tyson, Holyfield, Marciano, Joe Louis and a few others are definitely ahead of him. We're talking about GREATNESS here, not H2H matchups. Lewis wasn't that great. Beat old faded Holyfield and shot Tyson, got banjoed twice by average contenders, lacked any charisma and cultural significance. In fact, now that I think of it, I don't think he actually makes my top 10 list at all. But I can't make a proper thought out list right now, as I need to leave for work in 15 minutes.

Took my answer. Not only did he have all the physical traits, but he was cerebral. He knew when to box carefully, blitz, fight for the long haul, etc.

He also breat Rahman, Tua, Golota, Tucker, Grant, Ruddock, and Bruno. Good resume but hey i won't complain because a list of greatness isn't the same as H2H.

His raw physical strength was impressive. This is something that obviously increased when he took substances to bulk up later in his career. His gas tank was also good for his size. Big guys like Briggs, Grant and Bruno would come storming out of the gates but they’d eventually get tired and then Lewis would crush them.

the wladimir before steward would have beaten lennox because he was more offensive and less hesitant.

Hell no he was getting sparked out by Ross Purity (somebody that drew with Tommy Morrison), Sanders and even Brewster was able to KO him even with Steward who made him better. A dogfight would favor Lewis because he was a better infighter. I don't even think it would be competitive. Wlad under Steward would definitely give Lewis a far harder fight

if rahman can knock lewis out then wladimir could also. And the lack of training in elevation for the rahman fight is a stupid excuse because lewis was laughing and not taking him seriously and decided to shift his headto the right and got knocked out.

Physical gifts alone don't necessarily make a great...

Wilder for example is huge, long reach, blessed with huge power but limited skills and IQ combined with a failure to take any big fights means he'll never be anywhere near a great.

Lewis had all the gifts, learned how to use them effectively against pretty much anyone and would actually fight pretty much anyone - even when he was over the hill he would still take on dangerous fights (Vitali?).

Physical gifts may be a prerequisite, but they're far from a guarantee.

Sanders also lost to Rahman and he KO'd Klitschko badly so whats your point ? Lewis beat Rahman in an immediate rematch to prove the doubters wrong
