I wasnt quoting this fight I was talking about the Gung Ho fight till they drop type. Theyve never been in a ring, never known the pain. Its Ok as long as its someone else paying the price & risking their lives. They wouldnt do it themselves
No, that actually makes me chuckle. I'm confident enough in my own intellectual abilities not to be upset when people on a boxing forum disagree with me. If anything is making me angry lately, it's how little appreciation my recent poetry video has gotten. I worked really hard on that. How the **** did I only get four views? I posted it in like twenty ****ing places! This content is protected
You have a completely accurate understanding of my position there, bravo. Thanks for the click. Feel free to share it around. I'm trying to grow my channel. You can also follow me on Instagram. This content is protected
lol...how would you be doxxing yourself? I think the implication is that you should know better if you have ever been in the ring, and, therefore, by default it also implies those who are thirsty for blood and deriding fighters for quitting etc...have never actually been in the ring, or a fight in general. Because, if you had, you wouldn't say such things...and when I say "you" I don't mean you, ecto55, but "you" the person leaving such comments. C.J may not have meant this at all, but it is the impression I got and I agree 100%.
I'd concur. Anyone who has been there knows the bravery and self belief it requires and would be respectful of the sacrifice and determination it takes to get to the upper levels of any professional sport - especially one as gruelling and unforgiving as boxing.
personally, im not overly impressed by guys getting in a ring to fight with gloves. at any level. ive seen harder acts of courage performed by your average 15 yo, let alone stuff like a soldier jumping on a grenade to save his squad, or a cop charging into an active shooter situation. so to me it is more difficult to show up to work every day, day in and day out, hating it, but doing it anyway cause you have responsibilities that dont care about how you feel about it. and again, that too is relative. there are people who need that familiarity, they cant handle change, so doing the same thing every day, whether they enjoy it or not, requires no courage, as a matter of fact, it would take courage to step away from that life. now show me a guy who is terrified of fighting, but gets in the ring anyway, now thats a man of courage.
So, you are impressed if the person is scared...but otherwise no? I don't agree with anything you said, but you are entitled to your opinion the same as anyone else.
of course. there is no courage if fear doesnt exist. dont see how thats a matter of opinion, but like you said, to each his own.
