I am glad AJ v Fury didn't go ahead this year.

Because if Fury and AJ both win their fights, then this way there'll be no excuses and both fighters will both be considered close enough to their prime.

If the fight took place this summer there'd be concerns about "ring rust" and "out of their prime".

AJ could have maybe had 1-2 more fights, but I think Fury is basically around 95% his prime now, AJ maybe 85%.

Another win for both and that will push them closer to their best.

2022 also better because covid restrictions will hopefully finally be over spring 2022.

Yeah, as long as it happens in the UK it'll be perfect. They have no excuse to hold it in Saudi or anywhere else now besides greed. The fighters and promoters need to do the right thing and come to a realistic agreement that can make it work.

    Completely disagree

AJ vs Fury is the only fight that anyone really wants to see at HW.

It is the number 1 vs the number 2 in many peoples eyes. To decide who the best of this era is.

It is such a shame that it may now never happen.

Given Fury's track record it might be late 2022 or 2023 before this fight comes to fruition, so I hope you remain glad until then.

So long as it happens relatively soon, i'm ok that it isn't happening as originally scheduled. But if it never happens, most of us will be pissed.

Then again, I love a good underdog story, so i'll be rooting for wilder on October 9th.

I'm kinda meh on fury wilder 3. Prefer it not to happen but I guess it closes out the trilogy given the first "draw". Id prefer either of them to fight aj with the obvious preference being fury.

That said, I really like aj vs Usyk and am glad it's being made to happen. I really doubt we'd get to see it if the current circumstances hadn't come about.
