No need to call him a hick just because he’s from Tennessee. I have to stand up for my home state.

I grew up in the country. It has nothing to do with Tennessee. (LOL) Some of my best friends are hicks. (LOL) Sometimes I still am.

Ever hear of the saying "those who own the gold make the rules?" Either way this fight has more to do with what network the fight would be on.

Yeah, Isal isn't dumb nor is he an ignorant observer. Rather he has a very pronounced bias. Indeed he once laughably claimed Lomachenko "swerved" Berchelt at 130lbs, despite my very logical and factual refutation of his absurd argument.

Isn't Canelo embarrassed to be demanding all these advantages for every fight? His whole act just bores me anymore

Ask yourself. Why on earth would plant want to take any fight but Canelo. He stands to make 10 million.

effectively if he doesn’t get injured he gets the lottery ticket. Why on earth would he not accept that deal. If fight falls out can his promoter not just guarantee him $700k to sweeten the deal. Come on.

    he’s being so badly advised

It's insane that Plant wouldn't agree to postponing if Canelo got hurt. I get that Plant wants the guaranteed 10 mil that night, but the chances of Canelo getting hurt in training camp are extremely low. And if he did get hurt in camp he'd probably still show up anyway.

Agreeing to a postponement in the event that either guy gets injured in camp is perfectly reasonable. That's pretty much a standard in boxing contracts isn't it? Canelo has already agreed to do the match on PBC on a Fox PPV. I'm sure he would have preferred to have it on DAZN. Canelo has agreed to fight on Plant's network and gave him a very good financial deal. After what we seen last time from Saunders, with the whole bigger ring demand during fight week, and now this from Plant, fighters need to stop being such divas when it comes to fighting Canelo Alvarez.

I'll say this though, if this was the sticking point from Plant's side, I would still agree to it if I were Canelo. I mean it's a very unlikely scenario that Canelo gets hurt in Camp. As unreasonable as a demand from Plant that it is, I would still agree to it just to get him in the ring. If either fighter doesn't get injured in Camp, the fight will go on without a hitch. If a fighter gets injured and can't fight, they lose their payday. If that's what Plant wants, as unresonable as it is, I would still take it if I was Canelo, because again the chances that he gets injured in camp is very low.

If your Plant and you believe your the best in the world at your weight class I wouldn't take any of Canelos nonsense either.
Plant is a world champion that makes 6 figure paydays and will only make more the more successful he is.

You sign to fight and that's it. You negotiate the ring gloves, date, venue and that's it.
Canelo has this endless list of demands and if I'm Plant I'm thinking I'm A champion too and enough is enough.
You act like 750k is chump change and it's not. High 6 figures. Two bouts and you are a millionaire.
TONS of world class boxers would cut thier arm off to make 500k let alone 750.
Maybe Plant believes that he's the best and he doesn't need to bend to Canelos demands. NOTHING at all wrong with that. He's acting like a Champion not some club fighter begging for a big payday.
Like Callum Smith - he sold out for a payday. Short camp and look what happened. He got beat up for 12 rounds. Now all he'll be remembered for is a one sided beating from Canelo.

You're not citing any specific demands made by Canelo that Plant didn't agree to. Granted I really haven't been following the situation too closely, but I think there's been a tendency to claim or believe that Canelo or his team makes an endless list of demands. What specific demands has he made of Plant that are unreasonable?

It seems to me just on the surface that Canelo is catering to Plant, he agreed to fight Plant on his network (PBC, Fox PPV) he agreed that Plant will make 10 mil. What other demands has Canelo asked of Plant that you know of?
