I think some of the Khan comparisons are apt in that Garcia is also a lanky, extremely quick fisted operator who is susceptible to defensive lapses. Garcia, however, has considerably more one-punch power, a critical difference that should not be overlooked.
Yes Garcia has genuine power. He also seems to be a bit more durable. He got off the floor to win his last fight and he was badly hurt. Many guys panic the first time they take a real good shot. Khan's biggest problem wasn't so much his chin, but his complete lack of defense and survival skills. He would either just cover up with a basic guard standing still or clinch. What made it worse is he'd often start punching right back and that got him demolished. If Garcia can avoid these mistakes, the sky is the limit with his incredible hand speed and will to win.
Garcia sent Fonseca into the shadow realm in under 80 seconds with a solitary left hook from hell in a KO of the Decade type contender. Fonseca was fast asleep body completely motionless with his eyes wide open staring into the void voodoo style This content is protected KO 7 on a foul. First a left cross which skims around the back of round of Fonseca's head and cuffs him off balance to the canvas and then Tank cracks him with a full power left hand to the back of the head as he's down and instead of calling the foul the corrupt ref counts Fonseca out. The fact is Fonseca had no problem taking Twink's power so we know he's very tough and Twink could only get him out of there on a double foul and with the assistance of his tag-tam partner the ref who was on someone's payroll he shouldn't have been, whereas, conversely, Fonseca couldn't even last 2 minutes against Kingry and as soon as he tasted that power he was laid out cold on his back in biblical fashion.
