Usyk looks like hes puffing heavy in that clip. Wouldnt surprise me if he gases first. Hard to carry that much extra weight...when your not used to it and when staminas one of your biggest strengths....somethings got to give.
This is how I see the fight unfold: Swip, swoosh whoosh, bap bap bip bap. Uuuughhhhh, ugh, swip, bip bap uuughhhhh bip bip sloosh bip bop bip bip uugh bip POW BOOM...............Zzzzzzzzzz Winner, Usyk.
I have been a proponent of super heavyweights and size mattering at the divisions top level for some time However, as this fight has started to approach I am starting to lean towards Usyk. I think Joshua has a lot of advantages in height, reach, size, power but I think Usyk's skill level and southpaw stance are big factor If Joshua starts off cautious like he has done in a lot of other big fights he can allow Usyk to fight at his pace and allow Usyk to build confidence. I think Joshua will begin to try and mount a serious attack later in the fight and how Usyk stands up to that attack determines how this plays out I think Joshua has the power to shut out the lights but will he land? I did not think Joshua looked very good against Pulev though Usyk did get hit a decent amount vs Chisora.
I don't see anything from the Witherspoon and Chisora fight that suggests Usyk beats Joshua. If I was convinced he could drop him, and stop him, I might be convinced. Joshua is a very good jabber at range. Usyk will be picked off, and stopped late.
I actually think he'll get stopped earlier, by round 6 I'm thinking. But, I agree with you on the rest. Can also see Usyk coming forward, going for the knockout and getting knocked out himself in the process.
this is the most probable outcome, but im feeling a 10th rd stoppage. like i said before, usyk just aint that guy.
I've got a feeling Usyk will eat a lot of AJ's jabs. There's just something about him being inactive for so long and being much heavier, I don't think he'll be able to evade Joshua that well. Either Joshua KO's or Usyk doesn't do enough to convince the judges.
One thing I've noted is people keep referring to usyks weight gain and seemingly overstating it. He's not a small guy so was likely cutting 15 to 20lbs to hit CW .. so when he posted he was about 230 several weeks ago he's not THAT much bigger. Plus, he probably bulked up a bit with the plan to cut down over his training camp. I really don't think he's going to come in that much heavier than his in ring CW weight.
