Why would anyone watch this fight that will end with an easy victory for Hunter, Wilson is a journeyman and does not pose any challenge, it is a shame that Hunter is not ambitious and is not interested in a great fight...

It is a WBA eliminator lol just like the Hrgovic fight which was an IBF eliminator so I guess it's the same in his mind.

WBA should stand for Worst Boxing Association because they seem to be determined to be seen as the worst of all the titles.

Hunter should be embarassed to be fighting an inactive CW tomato can, whatever happened to his dreams of HW glory?

But given that Thriller has been stupid enough to pay him shitloads for smashing over tomato cans, it is on them and you cant entirely blame Hunter for taking advantage of their stupidity.

The WBA without a doubt has become the biggest joke of an organisation in boxing, and that takes some doing given the competition.

Dont be mad at hunter. This move goin to triller is gonna bring him big money and big fights. Out of all the brothas ive ever met in boxing 20 years. Mike and keith hunter are two of the nicest, most respectful dudes ive ever met. No egos....really nice down to earth dudes.
Matchroom fd up and matched hunter with bakole on short notice and mike whooped him. Then they wouldnt get him a fight. It shoulda been whyte vs hunter after hunter whooped povetkin. We already know why they wont match whyte with hunter.

If he wasn't getting the opportunities he wanted I understand why he left Matchroom but it so far seem like a very strange move.

He's gone from one of the biggest promoters fighting on big cards in Monaco, MSG and Dubai and then fought a nobody and ducked Hrgovic for a title shot vs AJ. While now he's fighting to face who Trevor Bryan or Dubois if he wins this eliminator?

...or - and hear me out here - or, Triller is going to match him up with rappers dabbling in the sport, washed up cage fighters crossing over, and YouTubers like the Paul brothers...and we're going to someday look back wistfully at the days when he fought real boxers like Wilson.

Mike Wilson is a fighter with good ability as shown by his amateur pedigree but he really shouldn't be fighting a guy at Hunter's level in a bloody title eliminator of all things.

Tbf anyone ranked top 15 is fair game to wind up in an eliminator under the right circumstances (granted that has to mean scheduling, injuries, and/or boxing politics bar everyone ahead from being involved) and he is...barely. WBA #14.

To be fair, the WBA lists five guys - Joshua, Helenius, Bryan, Charr, Dubois - as champions.

Their top 15 ratings also DO NOT include MOST of the actual name contenders you find elsewhere ... like Deontay Wilder, Dillian Whyte, Joseph Parker, Joe Joyce, Tony Yoka, Filip Hrgovic, Otto Wallin, Charles Martin, Dereck Chisora, Martin Bakole, Carlos Takam, Chris Arreola.

They also don't include the actual "World" Champion Tyson Fury ...

Or actual champions at Cruiserweight who have moved up to heavyweight and have name wins there ... like Murat Gassiev and Mauris Briedis,

So when you carve out basically 20 or so names who could reasonably be included in a normal top 15 and leave them off, guys who would normally be seen around #34 in the ratings end up in the top #14 - like a Mike Wilson.

Once again, WHY does Anthony Joshua continue to represent the World Boxing Association?
