Inoue will do extremely well as long as he uses his feet and boxes well, he shouldn't commit to his shots early in the fight and let Donaire sit on his left hook counter.
Good, But I want to see him vs Casimero more. Donaire is good, but Inoue already felt his best punches and still won.
Why would he avoid a rematch of a fight he won quite handily the first time around? Yeah he got hurt at one point but Inoue is clearly a warrior and seems to possess an iron chin.
Yeah, it's only seen as close because Inoue got hurt, and it was more competitive as most people expected. Donaire was tough as nails in that fight, and survived until the final bell. Don't think he will make it the distance in the rematch though.
First fight was very entertaining, Donaire did far better than many predicted. But even with the injury Inoue convincingly won for me. I'm sure it will be another entertaining, competitive fight and Donaire will give him a good fight but you can't help but feel that the conclusion is kind of obvious. Donaire isn't getting any younger and Inoue may even be still improving. I'll watch it but I'd rather see Inoue against a top fighter he hasn't yet faced, there's more speculation more to gain rather than retreading old ground.
Yup, he was getting beaten around for large portions of the fight. There were only about three rounds where he was really in the fight and trading comfortably. The rest of the time he was getting pasted and clearly hurt by Inoue, he just so happens to be tough as old boots made of nails.
He's the complete package, only complacency, age or size will overcome his immense skillset. That fight showed us what a great fighter we have here. Even my casual friends who I've exposed to Inoue now think he's the best in the world ability wise, not Canelo, Fury or Pacquiao. He's both always fun to watch and extremely dominant over top fighters (those often don't mesh as concepts in a single boxer, it's usually one or the other). I believe if he were bigger in the US he'd be a superstar already.
No doubt. Haters like to say he's got a leaky defense. He doesn't. He's not a swarmer, but he's extremely offensive. He gets hit no more than Lomachenko or Crawford or Clenelo while being more offensive (maybe not as much volume as Lomachenko). Inoue rolls a lot of punches. Power: A+ Speed: A- Chin: A Ring IQ: A Punch Selection: A+ Combinations: A Accuracy: A Defense: B+/A- Ring Cutting: A Oh, and every single punch he throws can be lethal.
