No one. Because Ruiz would never take this fight. He will continue to call guys out and never really intend to fight them. Like Whyte. Then he will continue to fight bums or has beens like Arreola until he thinks he has enough wins to get an AJ fight. This dude is a fat chump
Agreed... Depends which Ruiz turns up, if he's at his best then it's a much tougher test than anyone Joyce has been in with yet, but if he's a hot mess like the Arreola fight then Joyce will probably take him out.
Ruiz by hard-fought decision, I think. Joyce is a machine with a mean jab but Ruiz is quicker and more dynamic offensively.
I could see Joyce being stopped if he fought the heavier Ruiz. This lighter version, with his light snacks, seems to be a weaker puncher, and his punch resistance has obviously taken a hit. Who knows, though. It could be Joshua taking something out of his durability. He took some hard shots in the rematch.
It's going to take more than one well timed big left hook counter to beat Joyce. When we've seen guys stand with Ruiz Jr such as Arreola and Hamer he's looked very hittable. Hamer didn't have the heart to stay with him but Arreola did and dropped him and rocked him. Usually Ruiz can pick his spots to work as he forces guys into defensive postures, he covers up waits til they open up then replies with a counter but against more aggressive guys he's forced to exchange or get out worked and that's why he's more hittable against guys that are aggressive against him. If past prime Arreola can do that I can see Joyce having similar success. But Joyce can also box and move, hit him as he comes in and when they do exchange stand with him. Ruiz will no doubt have success though. Joyce will give him opportunities to counter but I think the size, the durability and the work rate of Joyce will break Andy down. While Ruiz has never shown a lack of conditioning that's because he usually dictates pace as guys tend to fear to exchange with him. But that was true of Arreola too but when Arreola was forced to fight to another fighters pace against Stiverne it exposed his lack of conditioning and Joyce will do the same to Ruiz Jr. He'll make Andy work when he doesn't want to and we'll see him fade and Joyce will then force a stoppage.
If the money is enough, of course he would fight. Besides, it's just about who'd win IF they were to fight, Tyson/Ali would never meet, but it gets plenty of posts & opinions
I like both fighters but Joyce's jab is going to be the difference. Probably look like the Dubois fight but Joyce is going to look like Larry Holmes with the size difference and jab.
