That is one of my least favorite fights of all time because they fought on the 13th of November, which was the birthday of my girlfriend at the time. She was the love of my life and, to this day, the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. I think that it was a mistake to tell that we could do something after the fight, or the next day, but it was a heavyweight title fight....
Mistakes will happen, but that sounds like it must have been a lulu! Priorities, priorities, priorities. That sure let her know what she was getting into (or not)!
A year later they fought on November 6. That made me happy because there would be no scheduling conflicts but I probably shouldn't have said that.
I would say it was the most exciting heavyweight fight of the 90's but Robinson vs Gatti was my personal favorite fight of the 90's.
Great fight. One of my favorite Heavyweight s. After the Holmes reign we had Tyson winning easily. Made a refreshing change to see such a action packed heavyweight fight like this. The 90s were such a great era for the big guys and this fight is up there.
