Maybe Lampley only coming in for the main event? Would be a waste but at this point expected.

    Round 7

LesPierre is getting puffy in the face and would be red all over his torso if he was a white dude. Algieri now winning the jab game, being the ring general and out-maneuvering LesPierre, throwing a ton more, landing a pretty good clip and continuously hurting LesPierre with body combos. LesPierre hurt as well in the final minute with a head shot, given "certified linguini-leg" per the commentator..

    10-9 Algieri

    68-65 Algieri

I can't wait for him to be announced to be in some elimination fight with Oquendo next month only for the WBA to then never mention it again and both guys sit out for 3 more years.

A little better from Mikkel late, but not even close to enough.

    Round 8

LesPierre is basically surviving at this point by nestling up close against his opponent, smothering and clinching. Algieri doing a good job of freeing himself and using the left jab on LesPierre's forehead like a paddleball to get into a rhythm before lighting him up with flurries on the ribs. Very little offense from LesPierre.

    10-9 Algieri

    78-74 Algieri

Algieri was trying to shoe-shine his way to a stoppage, but the referee Lipton wouldn't give it to him. Chris probably threw a hundred punches in the ninth. (LOL)

    Round 9

Algieri clobbering LesPierre, going for the stoppage - and based on body language it seems LesPierre is going to let him get it. LesPierre's efforts to defend himself adequately enough to hold off a ref stoppage decreasing by the second, drifting into the ropes, looking deflated, letting Algieri get off dozens of unanswered shots. LesPierre suddenly comes alive, scoring a counter left uppercut. LesPierre able to mount a brief rally and march Algieri back a few steps, but soon Algieri has resumed banging the body and forcing LesPierre to either lean back with his fists glued to his ears, or clinch.

    10-9 Algieri, close to a 10-8 without a knockdown

    88-83 Algieri

Chris badly rocks him early then tees off for about a minute and a half. He survives, then comes back and has his best moment in the fight, then Chris rocks him again late. That was almost a 10-8.

If this is with a full training camp... Mikkel needs to retire, otherwise he's going to get badly hurt in teh ring one of these days.

    Round 10

LesPierre is throwing lefts into the lower jaw of Algieri, stalking, but not really going all out for the KO he desperately needs at this point. Algieri wary, on his bike, getting tickled with some of those lefts but not really hurt, nothing landing square as he bends down sideways. Algieri submarines in and does more good body work. LesPierre opens up with left uppercuts downstairs pinning Algieri on the ropes, but Algieri stuffs most of them on the underside of his forearms.

    10-9 Algieri, close

Algieri looked very good. Really professional performance. Threw about every punch in the book. Nice defense. Very relaxed the whole time.

    Good win.
