    I'd say

    1. Bob Satterfield
    2. Bob Foster
    3. Archie Moore
    4. Michael Spinks
    5. Adonis Stevenson
    6. Michael Moorer
    7. Merqui Sosa
    8. Sergey Kovalev
    9. Marvin Johnson
    10. Matthew Saad Muhammad
    11. Roy Jones Junior

Why is Adonis Stevenson not on this list? Isn't this list just based on pure power and the ability to KO someone. Adonis has to be on that list. He's a much bigger 1 shot puncher than Roy Jones at 175. The Kos of Dawson, Fonfara and Top Dog Williams were clean. Emmanuel Steward raved about Adonis power said he hit like a crusierweight and he basically was on fight night around 190lbs.

    Curtis "The Hatchetman" Shepperd.
Many of you will recall the threads & inspiring stories about him here.
Moore said his right was harder than anything by Walcott, Louis-or Marciano.
And he exaggerated saying every time he was hit he would go down.
But Sheppard despite being also insanely tough in life, only had a 38.37% KO ratio.

This shows how poorly knock outs are correlated with power.
Many times he did not have the overall skills to land blows effectively.
He is also the perfect LHW to use before day before weigh ins, since he was seldom below 175.
But if you can use modern day/since the '80's guys who weigh in somewhat heavier, you can compare him.

Pound for pound & in absolute terms, he likely beats Satterfield & Foster.
Langford who knows, but I would go with Shepperd.

Do you count Fitzsimmons? If so, he's first.

    Foster or Fitzsimmons.

Foster broke more iron chins though.

Foster is a legitimate claimant for biggest puncher ever pound for pound so he’s probably my choice.

Bob Foster is #1 followed by Spinks and Moore,,Adonis Stevenson may be higher than Moore though.
