I know this won't be a popular choice among some but by the time this fight comes off Jack will have been the no1 contender for nearly 3 years.

I think it will have a pretty good build up and will be a fun, good value albeit ultimately one sided fight.

This one is for the fans that love their boxing, love their mrs and love a couple of pints..simple as.

British public will enjoy it, and they deserve it.

Josh deserves this homecoming after what he has achieved in 18 fights.

Whilst I'm sure Catterall will give 110% to upset the party, unless TTT gets' complacent it should be a clear win for Taylor - i'd guess a stoppage around 8/9.

So does this serve as a mandatory defence?

Yeah I believe it will be.

WBO ordered it back last year when Ramirez still held it.

If its a mandatory then fair enough. Otherwise its a poor fight.

It's not just a mando, Catterall was paid step-aside money to make the undisputed fight, on the provisio that he got a shot at the winner.

So glad to see Josh (and mainly Arum) honoring that.

Taylor could fight three pies in a row and I wouldn't be mad.

Please keep this in the Olympic spirit, will you?!

It's Josh Taylor (Team GB) vs Jack Catterall (Team GB) in Great Britain, both going for the gold!

    26-0 Ramirez
    24-0 Prograis
    19-0 Baranchyk
    29-1 Postol
    22-0 Martin
    16-0 Khongsong
    15-0 Davies
    26-0 Catterall

And the combined record of Taylor's last seven opponents (including Catterall) is 162-1 and he will still only have had 19 fights
