    A bit of a turnaround from the Foreman v McCall thread.
    What if Moorer had faced Larry Holmes from that time period?
    Could Larry, a year from challenging Mccall, do what Foreman did and beat M Moorer?
    He didn't have the power of George but wily experience.

    Holmes gets a split decision as Moorer looks out foxed by the old veteran.

    I think this is close to 50/50. The version of Holmes which beat Mercer in 92 would definatelly have had a chance. Holmes had a high ring IQ, he was very durable, crafty and good at stealing rounds.

    I'm going to go with the younger Moorer but prime for prime Larry beats MM easily.

    Probably not. Very doubtful. I believe Moorer wins this, but by a very narrow split decision or maybe a draw who knows.
    Maybe a 1992 Holmes would have made it. A 1979 Holmes would beaten MM fairly easily i believe.
