His whole amatuer career pretty much was at super heavy. Only came down to better the team. Just like when shane mosley was asked to move up to better the team and let oscar go at that weight. Never heard anybody saying props to shane for doing that. Oscar never woulda made the team. Thats why shane was calling out oscar early and oscar literally ran up in weight.

Bottom line is Hunter should be fighting live bodies instead of bald, fat slobs who put the 'can' after tomato.

He gassed against Povetkin as well but it was partly down to poor pacing. Heavies can make you gas more easily than cruisers due to their power, range, strength, mass, durability, clinching and pressure.

Hunter ducked Filip - This was his chance to become a MANDATORY.

Filip was not just another match, it was high risk but high reward. By now Hunter could have been in for a title shot.

But instead he took a high money deal to whack bums.

Hs actually gasses at heavyweight too, it's his biggest flaw by far. He's gassed against Povetkin and Bakole, only time he went the distance okay at heavyweight was against Kuzmin but that's because Kuzmin stupidly let him fight at his own pace.

Hunter ducked being mandatory, to go fight on the under card of a rap battle. He has 0 room to talk.

They didn't blow it by going a combined 1-2-1 against Usyk and Povetkin, they're blowing it now by not fighting high profile opponents like Usyk and Povetkin.

I expect Whyte will come back again, get another shot and settle in as a gatekeeper. Hunter seems headed for the dark corner of the division where the WBA regular belt holds sway.

Their lack of confidence to take meaningful fights is probably due to their poor showings against a way past it or shot Povetkin, who was not world championship material when at his prime in the Klitschko era. Hunter realised that Hrgovic was too big, tough, powerful, confident, athletic and skilled for him as a blown-up cruiser with a suspect engine and a lack of power. He's also 33 now and hasn't done himself any favours with the promoters or the fans. Whyte knows that his chin is weak and may even be glass after the Povetkin KO, so he wants to fight inactive cans who make Hughie Fury look like a murderous puncher until he gets his WBC shot. The problem is that the WBC dislike him and the heavyweight title landscape is extremely congested at the moment, so it will be at least two years by the time that Whyte can even hope to get a shot, by which time he'll be on the wrong side of 35. This is assuming that he doesn't get chinned again over that time period, which is a distinct possibility if he fights anyone half-decent who can punch.
