Fights were a fighter legitimately chose to fight the other's fight?

    Definitely Bradley vs Provodnikov.

Leonard says he did vs Duran. I honestly don't think so. Leonard beat up many guys like that, he just couldn't do it to Duran. Of course, if Leonard chose to move, he would always win that fight. But what I'm saying is that Leonard fought multiple fights like he did Duran I.

    Barrera-Morales 1, kind of

Both guys just wanted to go toe to toe, all out. Neither fighter was truly ever like that (Morales did love a scrap but not to that extent)....both guys were good boxer punchers who could move when they wanted to. That fight they threw it all out the window

    Canelo GGG 2.

GGG asked for that Mexican style after canelo backed away the first fight. And GGG got backed up big time.

Still his back didn't touch the ropes and he won most of later rounds. Most of the fight took place in the center of the ring , GGG fought behind the jab on the backfoot and pivoted well to keep the fight away from the ropes, that's boxing.

Abel Sanchez did create a stupid narrative of the so called " Mexican style " but GGG didn't get backed up one iota compared to Canelo in the first fight, he did get pressed but adjusted beautifully.

Ggg fans use the cuts and bruises argument for the derevyanchenko fight

It was the knockdown that made the difference,GGG got his **** pushed in that fight.

Very close fight, I thought Derevyanchenko won it but it was no robbery.

Lomachenko fought to Salido's strengths. Looking back and knowing what we know of Lomachenko, no way in hell he wasn't capable of boxing circles around Salido.

i remember watching will brooks v. marcin held for the bellator LW belt (MMA) a few years ago.
held was a grappling submission specialist, and brooks (the champion) popped his knee in the first round.
without any other option, apart from retiring from the fight, brooks 'entered the lion's den' and proceeded to grapple held to win a unanimous decision.
    very impressive.

Walking backwards or forwards does not determine who wins the fight. GGG clearly won 8-9 rounds against Canelo in the second fight. Not once did I see his back touch ropes so whatever Canelo was doing wasn't effective . Canelo was walking towards Golovkin getting heavy jabs to the face whilst inside glove slapping Golovkins elbows.. How anyone thinks Canelo did better in the second fight blows my mind.. He was getting outboxed coming forwards ffs

I didn't say it determines the fight. Read the title of the thread . GGG asked for Mexican style and Canelo gave it to him.

Ohh we are talking about the Mexican style where the fighter inside glove slaps to elbows whilst getting pounded by jabs and outlanded with cleaner shots in 8-9 rounds? Doesn't seem like a very good style if you ask me

Jose Pedraza known for his slick boxing style chose to fight an aggressive fight against the big punching Tank Davis making life easier for Davis who had no trouble knocking him out.

Gatti (RIP) trying to box with Mayweather instead of going balls to the wall like he usually did was one of the worst game plans i have ever seen dont know what the hell was Buddy McGirt thinking there. did he tought Gatti could outbox Mayweather? If he did hes a dumbass .
