One dimensional I find to be a poor criticism, If it's effective it's effective and that's simply not true. No one sees the things he does in there like close the gap, counterpunch, catch and parry, and cut off the ring. I didn't say it was a lucky punch, just that he's lucky to have pulled it out. Souza was getting the breaks beaten off of him, that's more than (the word is sheer_velocity dude. The word you're looking for is volume BTW not velocity. Dunning-Kruger is a helluva thing. It's easy to say "better man" when he won in a fight he was solidly losing.. He hadn't won a single round on any card.Souza also was struggling with Bakshi once he found his rhythm too, but I can see it's better man. The counterpuncher struggled with the pressure fighter, nothing new. Khyzniak was still blocking a lot of punches with his gloves and he didn't get to an Olympic gold medal just being as poor as you said. Khyzniak fouled because of Souza's incessant and illegal clinching. I wish the joe sixpack's on this forum were more unbiased. Great fight and performance by 2 great fighters. One doesn't need to be a varied or versatile boxer to be an effective one. He also was breaking down his shoulder roll as well. Say you don't like a guy but stop feigning expertise while doing it lol.

I agree, but he wobbled Davis BADLY at the Pan American games and he's hurt all his opponents solidly thus far. Excited to see what happens.

I agree khyzniak should have ran like cubans do , just to secure the win.

I remember Davis buckled then. I hope Davis can somehow do it, but doubt it.

Cool fact: Cruz vs Davis rivalry has spanned four continents - South America, North America, Europe and now Asia.

Yeah it was hilarious because Davis said on an AMA on reddit punches have never hurt him before, but I've clearly seen in his fights that's not true.

Where was that dude when Keyshawn Davis stopped Oumiha without knocking him down at all?. These are the Olympics, if you want pro stoppages go watch pro boxing, the only thing that ref did was save the Ukrainian from further punishment, just watch his feet when the referee held him. The guy that Davis stopped was arguing with the referee too, was that a bad stoppage?, I don't think so considering Davis landed on the chin and the dude was screaming about a shot on the back of the head.

I don't need to be from Brazil to give credit to the better man. This stoppage falls under the norm for your usual Olympic stoppage but this dude goes to insults right away because he can't handle that his boy lost.

trevor is roger mayweather re incarnate but doent know that in amatuer boxing its an RSC 10/10 when you get knocked down and do ballet like that. If the ref didnt grab him he mighta fell. Also, kushniak was winning on sheer volume. He wasnt even landing the better or cleaner shots unless the back and back of the head are scoring blows. Hes so against clinching......which if alvarez woulda done, he wouldnt have had to run like a little girl . Davis moved, landed clean scoring blows and would clinch. Certainly didnt get hit much. The armenian was just as responsible for clinching. He wasnt even throwing. Alvarez threw feather dusters that i couldnt even tell were landing. Guy has less pop then malignaggi. Souza is the more well rounded complete fighter. Thats that.
