Gane kept his distance well the whole time. Lewis couldn't do anything. Did he fracture his orbital? Looked like a pain thing more than a KO.

 

Gane has good cardio for a big man as well where Francis still hasn't proven his.

I think they equate fighting ability to the success of his le funny Instagram page.

 

Even Tank Abbott had more acumen and poise in striking than Lewis.

 

Yep. I've always said Derrick Lewis has ZERO mma skills. He just wings heavy punches and against rubbish opponent they sometimes land. He is absolutely awful and the fact Lewis has had 2 title shots and won so many fights in the ufc just goes to show how garbage heavyweight mma is.

 

Didn`t he get beat by Brock Lessner too?

It’s not that simple. He’s not technically the best but he knows how to keep composed and land his shots, and that goes a long way in fighting. He’s dangerous.

 

I’ve said it before, the last decent era of UFC HWs was the Cain-JDS era 7-8 years ago. Excluding Stipe and Cormier’s brief HW run everything else has been complete trash. For a bum like Lewis to have had such a long and relatively successful career just shows what a shithouse it is.

 

It took Matt Mitrione less than a round to dispose of Lewis, Nuff said.
