He's not faking an injury IMHO. He's faking the severity of his injury. I find it absolutely easy to believe that the likes of Spence who's only claim to fame is his 0, can pull off something like this. Does he have an eye injury. Sure does. Does it warrant backing off from a fight against a 42 year old who's coming off a 2 year lay off? You tell me. I don't believe that the injury is as critical as they are claiming it to be. And the silence of the medical community supports this hypothesis. He got scared of Pac's form (I mean seriously, have you seen his recent videos? Dude's a monster) and losing his 0, plus the fact that he knows Pac will fight him still anyway, this time older, more battle weary and ultimately easier to beat than this Goku-esque figure we're seeing right now.
YES HE ABSOLUTELY DOES BECAUSE HE OWES THE FANS THAT MUCH, AND MORE IMPORTANTLY IT PROTECTS HIS FREAKING IMAGE, SOMETHING THAT IS ABSOLUTELY IMPORTANT IF YOU'RE A PRIZE FIGHTER IN THIS DAY AND AGE OF SOCIAL MEDIA. Do you even understand how much damage this costed the promoters, bettors, those who intended to watch the fight live, practically everybody who invested something in the fight? Pac is being classy about it but I can tell you he's freaking pissed to have wasted his time on Ugas. FREAKING UGAS. It's called S-O-C-I-A-L R-E-S-P-O-N-S-I-B-I-L-T-Y. You're a public figure, you owe the people a freaking explanation. And the thing is it's not really going out of his way too much. Take a photo of the damn legal medical documents. FFS that's as easy as sending a d*ck pic to someone.
Can't speak to the severity of his injury. It may not be a terrible injury. Spence may be the type of guy that needs to have everything just right when he trains, prepares for a fight or it throws him off mentally. To us it's minor, for him, he's not leaving anything to chance. Especially against a monster. I can't expect Spence to go into a fight concerned about an eye that, in his mind, might get perminatly injured. If it were your vision, your career on the line, would you move forward?
We need a X-rays or a statement from the surgeon. They'd be happy to for the publicity and one of Dallas' sons.
no. This is just crazy talk. As for an explanation, the injury was caught in the pre-fight exam. He got surgery. Posted a pic. Not everyone is some crazy ass conspiracy theorist. You are questioning in injury in boxing, a sport rife w/ injuries.
I've seen a few boxers say that the timing of the injury is weird. So some people in boxing do find it strange. Spence has the right to not show proof. People have the right to believe he's faking an injury.
People have the right to be complete assholes.... people's perceived rights in this are silly. We fans have no right to anything other than access to good fights. What do you want, a medical report? Can you even read a medical report? People thinking a doc finding an injury from a pre-fight medical exam is strange!?!?! That's the whole point of the exam! Jesus....
A fight is a fight. You can be 80 years old and still knock a guy out could if you land on the button with enough force. Youre relieved bro, its ok.
Maybe thats why he looked like **** in that leaked sparring video. He may have suffered the tear, during that same exact sparring session. Makes sense.
Pacquiao has only stopped 1 opponent in his last 10 fights. I'm 100% certain that Spence isn't scared. Especially by watching some videos of him throwing flashing combinations that won't work in a fight. You guys have the craziest of imaginations.
