Hearn won't pay that. His comments on the fight show his open to it but both fighters need to be more realistic in there demands. Sky possibly could run with a ppv but they will keep the guarantee fairly modest and let the fighters pick it up on the backend. The problem is I don't think either fighter is prepared to settle for a guarantee which is less than £3 million.
The only way this fight gets made is on PPV now if Khan wants £5 million plus a cut of revenue. Even at £25 a pop on Sky would be taking a massive risk as I’m not sure this sells 500k at this point in time. I think it’s the only fight both will entertain at this time so demands might come down.
Yeah I can't see the money men at dazn being happy to fork out that kind of money for two past it free agents, sky might be interested but its a risky one to take coz either one could get sparked in rd1 or take a dive.
I think this fight sells and will do really well. Genuinely do. Hear me out on this. Like them or not, Khan and Brook are probably the last two of the 'golden generation' boxers that haven't retired yet. A lot of big boxing personalities have retired over the years leaving a void in British boxing imo such as Bellew, Haye, Degale, Groves, Frampton, Quigg, Crolla and Froch. They may not all be likeable etc but the majority of those named above were household names and still are. If you look at Eddie's next crop of stars bar AJ, they just haven't cut the mustard in terms of generating interest. Conor Benn, Buatsi, Okolie, Fowler. That's all Eddie has. Not exactly stadium fillers are they? Dillian has to have a really strong undercard to get on PPV otherwise he's not selling anything off his own back. That's why I think Khan and Brook will do well as the casuals still know who they both are. Plus the whole Lancashire v Yorkshire, Asian v Black and the fact they don't like each other all means it will sell. I think once you get Sky's marketing machine in full swing, it'll be a big big night.
Yeah I used to think that Brook would smash him but after seeing how easily Crawford hurt Brook when he caught him has me thinking a bit different as Khan probably still has the speed to catch Brook Clean. Also I don't think Brook can make 147 without being compromised maybe that is why Crawford hurt him so easily when a prime Brook took shots from GGG, Spence and Porter. It is not for a world title so a catch weight of 151 or something like that would be fair then I would maybe favour Brook to win by KO as I think he hits a lot harder than Khan.
Totally agree with that. I have never seen a boxer look so depleted than what Brook did in the run up to the Crawford bout. As soon as I watched this, I feared the worst. He shouldn't be at 147. This content is protected He looked like a prisoner of war or a Mr Olympia competitor. Minimal levels of fat and water in the face.
All true unfortunately. Especially the part about them being the only 2 left from the mid 2010's boom in British boxing. Another thing about that list you've mentioned - a lot were from big working class cities which generated lots of support. The likes of Belfast v Manchester when it was Frampton v Quigg etc.
lmao khan pay you to come on here posting that its dead just look at twitter boxing writers this thread theres no traction to it it will lose money especially with khans greed no one i knows intrested at all
Brook vs Amir. (I am not particularly interested). But.... A second big payday for the winner ...... Winner gets Manny Pacquaio in the UK to let Manny come and fight in the UK once as he wishes. Everybody wins - Fans get to see Pacman in the UK
