Yesterday, I watched Canelo vs Khan fight second time. Khan was ahead on the my scorecard until the KO. But, Canelo reacted against his some lighting punches. Khan was hitting the air in some rounds.

In a fantasy fight between Canelo and Roy Jones at 168, could Canelo react Roy Jones' fast punches? What would be Roy Jones' successful punch percentage?

Roy is taller, longer and faster. More importantly he isn't repetitive like Khan plus he punched much harder.

Canelo will not be able to time him, in fact Roy wouldn't stand long enough in front of him to get hit.

Yep Khan is a pretty orthodox type of fighter while RJJ was far more unorthodox and would do things other fighters simply wouldn't or couldn't making him far less predictable.

And yes Khan often just stands there to be hit especially when throwing his big combo's, Roy in contrast would pot shot or fire a quick combo and angle off, he was far more elusive.

I think I started Clenelo. I def don't recall anyone using it prior to me. Oh well, maybe I am wrong.

    Clownelo is definitely solid.

Canelo would definitely "react" to prime Roy's punches. In fact, he'd likely react the same way Reggie Johnson, himself a solid professional and technician, did: suffer a flash knockdown or two, accept that he's out sped, like a Chevette against a Corvette, and remain defensively responsible to lose by a WIDE decision.

A prime Jones clowns almost everyone in boxing history, Canelo is no different.

Clenelo would've caught and shattered Roid's glass jaw.

Jones wide UD, maybe a knockdown along the way as well. James Toney was excellent at counter punching people and he could not react to how fast Jones was in his prime.

Canelo would have some good moments, I think, but he fights at too slow a tempo to actually win. Roy would potshot his way to a cautious, wide decision. Pretty much his playbook against all elite fighters.

Prime Roy most likely will be too much for Canelo P4P, but Canelo as good as he is could probably have a 'Lou Del Valle' moment, being as sharp and accurate as he is today.
