A smart, likeable, articulate dude who just lost his love of the game and succumbed to injuries. It seemed his initial injury and rehab took a lot of wind out of his sails. I’m a fan but don’t consider him a top WW these days. Not even close but I wish him the best. Hope he gets into announcing. He’d be way better than Ward and Timmy on day one with zero practice.
I think you're right about Ortiz and Ennis. However, with Ennis being a young black fighter from Philly, perhaps Hopkins can work some magic behind the scenes to convince everyone to make the fight happen. Given the much more marketable DLH's willingness to fight Hopkins, especially when he could've easily avoided the fight without harming his reputation, I don't see why they wouldn't want to roll the dice on Ortiz Jr. beating Ennis, should they ultimately be the two left standing.
