Boxers who taught other boxers things or improved their skills (as mentor, trainer, role model, sparring partner or just in a groundbreaking fight)?

I started reading "In the Ring with Jack Dempsey" by Adam Pollack. It is written there that the famous lightweight fighter Dick Hyland (who fought against Battling Nelson) taught him quite a bit. Then I thought hmm... Jack Johnson had a mentor too. Wasn't that Joe Choynski, who taught him in jail. Jack Blackburn (former strong boxer) trained Joe Louis, Larry Holmes learned a lot from Muhammad Ali as a sparring partner...

Do you know any other examples?

Chris Eubank Sr learned things from Errol Christie in 88 at Lonsdale. It led to him ‘rematching’ Rod Douglas a year after their initial 87 spar (which is on YT) and getting the best of him that next time.

Christie and Douglas were supposed to far surpass Turpin, Downes and Minter btw, when turning pro.

'As much as I enjoyed watching Joe work, I learned even more from his trainer, Jack Blackburn - Chappie, everyone called him that, too.'

From Sugar Robinson's autobiography, where he goes in to extensive detail about his interactions with Blackburn, and a variety of other old timers, whom he learnt all kinds from

Bert Gilroy coached & trained Walter McGowan, Chic Calderwood, Cowboy McCormack and Johnny Caldwell and of course many other lesser known Scots fighters.

I know. Ray once stayed with Chappie and Joe and trained with them, which is where this excerpt comes from in his autobiography. I really do recommend the book for anyone who hasn't read it.

I read something about someone visiting Ray shortly after his ceremony, the one where he got the GOAT trophy. He had his rented suit on still, he was living in a hotel he couldn’t pay for and only had a coffee table for his trophy and a tv on the floor but to vaguely quote the writer.
“He still had all the dignity of a king ”

Didn't we read that Tommy Ryan was instrumental in Jeffries employing a crouch in his fighting style, and Tunney has accredited Benny Leonard for his winning fights with Greb, by repeatedly hitting Harry under the heart. keep well.

Archie Moore comes immediately to mind. He worked with a young Cassius Clay in the early days, and worked with George Foreman, preparing him for his title challenge of Joe Frazier.

Does anyone know if Jack Dempsey sparred or worked with Sam Langford when Dempsey was on the way up? (I know he was offered a bout with Langford in 1916 but wisely turned it down as not being ready for that level of competition.) I have heard that the two worked together but never could find any proof either way.
