    1. Jake put a lot more hurt on his wives than they ever put on him

    2. Billy Fox stopped him

I trust LaMotta's words. He and Foreman knocked out that hardest punchers they've ever faced and even though Ray seem to have lamotta hurt but I think the situation is similar to how holyfield had foreman hurt. Y'know the one where he flurried a dozen of punches... foreman never said he hit hard.

Doesn't mean tiger jack fox stopped him he is the hardest puncher.

LaMotta beat Robinson, Fox would have been destroyed by Robinson, and was LaMotta even floored by Fox?

Robinson smashed his body with right hooks first, draining his stamina, plus he had trouble making the weight.

I don’t doubt Satterfield hit him hardest. Man could bang.

“He had trouble making weight” lol.

Poor, poor Jake had to sweat off a few pounds so he was only 15-16 pounds heavier than the welterweight he was fighting.

It weakened his body and left him vulnerable to Ray`s vicious body attack, Robinson had far more power than Jake at 160.

SRR certainly hurt Jake to the body, but if LaMotta was out in his feet is another question. Might have been, as he said, exhaustion more than being truly hurt.

Partly but when you`re tired you`re easier to hurt and he took some devastating shots from Ray.

He was a middleweight. Fighting a welterweight. You wanna cry for a guy who only outweighed his opponent by more than a dozen pounds? That’s a whole division basically. Two by today’s standards.

In fact, his record is littered with fights where he comes in over 160 against a welter who is 150 or below (probably wearing his regular clothes at the weigh-in so even lighter).

Jake rarely picked on somebody his own size. And even more rarely he fought someone where he was the smaller guy, and certainly not giving up 15+ pounds like his advantage over Robinson.

If it weakened his body to make middleweight he should have fought at light heavy.

LaMotta was the original weight bully.
