Fury and Wilder have been taken off boxrec...

The house of cards is starting falling down finally. If Fury does not show up to the fight on October 9th, then he should be stripped this time. No more excuses. Wilder held up the belt for years and now Fury us holding it hostage.

 

How did Wilder hold up the belt? I understand Fury. Wilder was fighting regularly in Fury's absence. Serious question.

I agree with their unactive status ruling and removal from their rankings. That said Boxrec have done weird stuff which I couldn't understand.

AJ went back to number 1 after beating Ruiz but a week or so after they did recalculation that meant he went to number 3.

Last week Gilberto Ramirez was the number 1 ranked LHW now he is 5th and callum Smith is ranked number 1.

 

He refused unification and he avoided most of the best heavyweights for years. He fought soft touches or bums while prancing around proclaiming to be the best. Now Fury is doing basically the same thing. Fake Covid or not, this fight should have happened by now.

 

Take a look at the rankings. Neither of them are there any more.

They are there to track records and that's it.

 

Ah, I got you. I wouldn't worry, no one takes their rankings all that serious beyond a very rough guide.

e.g. They have Chisora at #7. I like Chisora, but that is pretty wild considering the recent losses he has taken.

 

I always expect pro-Fury stuff given your username and it's a little jarring every time.

 

I get the COVID factor, but to me all this inactivity for this long is inexcusable.

Wlad was the greatest heavyweight of this century, partly because even though he didn't have great competition, he regularly defended his title. This postponement thing is beyond ridiculous. Fury is no Wlad, Lewis, Holyfield, Holmes, Tyson, or any of the top 20 ATGs partly because of this fact. He just doesn't want to fight, apparently.

I don't buy his latest excuse. But to be completely honest, I never liked Fury anyway, his fighting style bores the hell out of me and I see him as goofy Jethro Bodean mother****er anyway.

 

Fury getting another pass? This time for getting pulled from boxrec. A pass for faking Covid. A pass for taking PEDs. A pass for faking an ankle injury. A pass for never defending a belt. Ever. I wonder how many more passes does he get?

He just got stripped from the Boxrec rankings, it's hardly a pass. People are just pointing out that anyone with more than a passing interest in boxing generally ignores those rankings as @Goose pointed out above.
