HWs WBA ranking really is a joke

The idea that you can have a top 15 plus belts and yet not have Fury, Whyte, Joyce, Parker or Wilder on that list is absolutely laughable.

Regardless of where you'd personally put those guys, they certainly all belong on any sane top 15 list.

Having Dubois that high up is taking a massive dump on its credibility too - an up and coming fighter with some potential yes, but he's done **** all to be sitting there.

 

Not only that, Joyce who KOd him isn't even in the top 15

 

Absolute joke ranking.

I thought Dubois and Ortiz being ranked in the top 3 was terrible but De Mori being ranked at all really takes the ****.

Maybe banning this corrupt organization from the US isn't a bad idea.

 

3/4 of their champions aren't in anyone's top 10 and somehow half the list is worse than them. Much worse.

 

Obviously almost the entire list is terrible but I am genuinely shocked to see Mark de Mori on that list! He has beaten nobody and has only had one bout in the last two years against a person with a 21-20 record...

 

Fury is the WBC champion, so that's expected (unless you mean Hughie, lol).
As for the rest, don't they have some rules that if you are pursuing a title within other organizations, they don't rank you in WBA?

 

If you don’t know who Zhan Kossobutisky is you need to get more into boxing. That said though, yeah, the list is awful.

You guys realise you only get ranked by a governing body if you pay sanctioning fees in most cases.

Joyce is paying WBO so ranked there. Dubois was paying WBO before he lost to Joyce and now pays the WBA so he miraculously finds himself on the rankings

 

Water isn't wet, though. I'm surprised that in 2021, people are still posting this fallacy.
