WBA to remove interim titles

To quote Major Payne, they're still a **** sandwich, just not a soggy one.

 

This is the equivalent of Manuel Charr being made redundant

 

It's a start... An inch when they need a mile.

 

I hope the other orgs follow suit. It's a major step forward in quality to have belts actually won in a ring.

 

WBA has to remove one more title per division to catch up to the rest what do you mean hope the others follow?

 

Getting rid of interim, I don't care about secondary titles. As I've said before, they can make a belt for every fight if they want, just make them win in a ring instead of beating a nobody and all of a sudden you're world champ when something happens that's entirely unrelated to you.

 

And what of the other 437 belts? **** off wba

 

What does this mean? No "regular" belt? And will the WBC get rid of their silver belt?

 

Tommorrow they'll replace the interim belt with the super interim and regular interim belts.

What about the WBA Gold belt? Can anyone (WBA included) show me what that title means? I mean usually there's a blurb on a website, a press release, or a line in their org rules of what titles are, I cannot find anything for the Gold Belt

 

I've heard this story before.

 

Also, I mean I'm glad they are getting rid of titles, but wouldn't you be pissed if you paid the WBA sanctioning fees and they dissolved your title arbitrarily?

 

They still need to remove Gold Title and merge both Super and Regular titles.

 

The wba has been absolute garbage for the past 20 years.
