Frank Warren was hyping it up by saying that Dubois will be making a name for himself in the US and raise his profile there by becoming the first man to stop Cusumano.
I watched last night on a good quality river - I must admit, I thought it was quite an entertaining event.
I watched it and it was terribly. The main event did however have me gripped. It was a poor level of boxing but yeah it was definitely entertaining. I think it was because you could see Paul was blatantly blowing and you knew Tyron could take him out if he just worked that little bit harder. Edit: Sorry. Very good performance from Montana Love too.
Dubois seems to have come out of his shell a bit since the Joyce loss. I know it’s cliche but it seems a weight has been lifted off his shoulders. Think he can do really well under McGuigan.
Yeah, I hear what your saying. I just approached the whole thing as something not to be taken too seriously. I really enjoyed the Love fight. Serrano was good as well. The main event was a circus, which was quite fun. Dubois went down very well with the Americans. He was trending No 2 on US Twitter at one point. Warren might be onto something here - if another opportunity arrives over there, Showtime will probably happily pay for him to bash another bum - I see Mark De Mori has somehow appeared in the Top 10. He might even be able to get them to pay for the Bryan fight, which is a win, win as he doesn’t have to deal directly with King.
Fury had a fewOkolieoctupus holding moments also. He's got massively long arms and tied the guy up a few times. Could tell how nervous he was; wasn't settled in his work and in the corner when listening he was like "yep, yep, OK, yep, yep". Like someone who wasn't really truly listening because there focus is on othef stuff going on around them. That's how it felt like watching him in the corner between rounds.
That is insane. Fair enough Jake Paul but Tommy ****ing Fury?! Getting 10x more than Love and Baranchyk. Shocking.
Actually just thought. Fury and Dubois purses are inflated as I assume they were the “sellers” for the UK PPV weren’t they.
No Lad on twitter just makes random shite up and everyone believes it. He has done a few now. Just total made up nonsense. But funny
Fury got 3.6 mil Instagram followers compared to Baranchyk's 15k. From a talent point of view, Fury and Paul shouldn't even be on the card but from a numbers perspective it's probably fair. Not saying it's right just the way things are.
Tommy Fury isn't a very good boxer and a terrible talker too. I know it's all a pantomime but it wouldn't surprise me if he actually loses against Jake Paul if they fight.
