Any updates on Josh Kelly? Would be good to see him out soon so he can start a rebuild after the loss against Avanesyan.

 

Looks like he’s rebuilt his face with filler and Botox

 

Weren’t it announced this week he’s signed with Sky?

Got a new career as a model for Boohooman by the looks of his social media.

Should move up to 154 and try and make his way into a good domestic scene there.

 

He is caught in no man's land unfortunately. Too big for 147 and small for 154, his poor stamina will also stop him from moving past british level at 154.

 

on tonights showing, not just Avanesyan would beat Benn. Kelly beats him too.

 

If Liam Smith beats Fowler as i expect then a fught between Fowler and Kelly would be a good idea.

Think he needs to step up to 154 and stop using so much unnecessary over excessive movement.

He was ****ed by the 3rd or 4th round against Avanesyan

 

I think his amateur flashy boxing skills are so intertwined in his mindset i'd find it difficult to believe he can become a more orthodox, defensive high guard type boxer who can reserve his energy much better over 10 to 12 rounds.

The writing was on the wall against Ray Robinson when he escaped with a very fortunate draw.

Eddie built him up because of his amateur pedigree and tried to fast track him past european level to the fringes of world level very early on in his career when he fought nothing but mediocre journeyman and a completely past it fighter in Carlos Molina.

He needs to go back to the drawing board and concentrate on the british scene at perhaps junior middleweight if he can no longer make welterweight comfortably.

It'll be interesting to see if his promoter will let him bypass the british level scene and stick around at european fringe world level.

 

He just hasn't got it, the minute he was genuinely gut checked he folded.

 

Fast tracked to Avanesyan before he had a chance to learn anything and iron out issues with his style and pacing and so suffered the same fate as a lot of Eddie's fighters - built up to be the second coming against a string of tomato cans then gets found out the second he steps up.
Hope Matchroom and Connor's team were watching closely because the same could happen to their lad if not careful.

 

Think the Booth style has been found out tbh. The wide jab stance makes it hard to fight on the backfoot due to footwork and balance so as soon as you stick it on them (like Ava did Kelly) then they struggle. Even saw it in the Robinson fight.

Kelly isn't all that either mind.
