Butterbean would win by stoppage. It would be a lot like Joshua-Ruiz 1. Unless of course Joshua ran like he did in the second Ruiz fight, then Joshua might survive and get a decision win.
I dunno what to say about the fact people think buttebean was anything more than a sideshow. I loved good ol' butterbean but never took him seriously,.nobody did. Lol
Butterbean never demonstrated he could beat anyone good. Anyone comparing Ruiz to him DKSAB. "They're both fat, that's good enough for me". I wish Butterbean had actually fought someone decent. Would have been interesting. I have nothing against him.
Shows the Quality of the heavyweight division at the moment when I had to stop and think for quite a while about this match up.!!!
He'd probably have had to accept more than 4 round joke bouts to get anyone decent in there - and what happened the first time bean fought ten rounds? He lost to a 52 year old Holmes.
For a 52 year old to look amazing in any fight requires an opponent who is either in awful condition, not very good, or both. As much as I enjoy Bean, he fits both categories - he only ever had a 4-round gas tank and only ever fought opponents with very limited skill levels for good reason. Bean today wouldn't even be a journeyman, and not just because of his lack of stamina. Joshua's gas tank may be "suspect" at times but Beans was always a known quantity and not remotely close to the same ballpark.
