Far to unlikeable to become the top guy. And also on top rank so really they decide his career. He's not going to be the face for Sky but still one of the bigger names.

They have consultants for PR. Look at Big Josh, well trained in front of the camera.
The bigger problem is that the public did not follow his ascent to world championship. If he does badly @147 everything will come crashing down since he has no loyal followers.

2012 medallist who won by the grace of the judges. Hardly anyone in the public knows about the robbery, which shows he has a well managed reputation.
You are just proving my point. If Taylor was PR trained like Joshua (superior black race, loves Mugabe) then he wouldn't have done any of that.

'Hype'? His undisputed victory WASN'T EVEN ON TELEVISION in the UK. Also, since when does a single loss invalidate a boxer's reputation? If you are saying he's useless if he loses to Crawford you are actually insulting Crawford.

I think he comes across sound and very down to earth. Says the odd daft thing but I always feel I'm seeing the real Josh and it's far better than reading off a script like AJ and Conor Benn.

I mean among boxing fans. They are fickle.
I am not insulting Crawford or Taylor.
Taylor hasn't been on Sky long enough to gather steam behind him. If Taylor's first big fight, likely Crawford, ends up in a loss then the "hype " will end.

Taylor is 100% genuine hope he never changes.its a shame that some people can't just admit the real reasons for not being able to genuinely support him.

He was kicked out of a club for getting into a drunken dispute/fight with someone. Not sure what he said though.

By boxing standards Taylor is an angel. A little branding, polishing and a good documentary or two is all you need.

See I find this a really weird one - in terms of his profile, no, he’s not been handled well at all. Whilst he now seems to have a bit of a backing in Scotland, he is nowhere near as well known as say, Ricky Burns was fighting on Sky. But in terms of the fights he’s had and the order he’s had them, there hasn’t been a better handled fighter in boxing. He had his journeymen to start him off, then the tough Dave Ryan before onto a British unbeaten clash with Ohara (in which Taylor was a slight underdog going in) then moving through the fringe to Miguel Vasquez before onto proper world level fights. What he has achieved in 6 years as a pro is outstanding.

I’m a massive Catterall fan, and know him very well, but to put it in context he has been pro 3 years longer than Josh.

Called an Asian bouncer a 'gay orange looking c##t'. Met up with him after to apologise.

This might be good ide for old Bob : they needs big american brand hype.
JT without problems is making 140 lbs, let's drag him up to 147 lbs and place in the ring with Crawford who most likely will be at least 160 lbs if not more in the ring.
Hype enged with weight bully Crawford.
The same might be done with Lopez, he damn is walking around 150-154 lbs, cut a bit and bob might place him vs Terence.
With Tank, and why not? Not likely he will need to bulk up specially to step on scales and make 146 lbs for example. I even suspect he might make 147 lbs only after weight cut.

US boxing stars are not hyped up, they just cut damn a lot. LOL.

You are forgetting that Crawford was formally a lightweight.
