Why do Frank's BT shows inevitably have a final week pull out from the main event leaving some sh1te as the headline act ? Doesn't seem to happen so often with Matchroom and when it does there's normally something half decent on the undercard to take its place. BT can't be happy with this. They should put Saturdays show on YouTube as well.
They just always disappoint. For me BT's production and commentary (Jon Rawling) is better than Sky's, but the only fighter on there I actually want to watch right now is Joe Joyce. The rest of their cards I'm happy to watch on YouTube or even ignore entirely. The lack of Fury has obviously hurt BT's coverage - still no announcement from BT for Fury-Wilder III? - but the number of drop outs so close to the date is ridiculous.
Franks stable of fighters is poor tbh.serious dearth of quality.you know its weak when they are trying to make rematches of absolute stinkers in Arthur v yarde & maxwell v Ennis.
Another reason I really hope this new venture on Sky works. Frank’s stable getting weaker and weaker and Matchroom are con artists... hoping Sky can do well.
BT are more interested in UFC, draws the bigger numbers and you get a regular stream of quality shows.
Definitely. Despite signing new fighters every week, there's no quality control with his signings any more. He just signs them on really short teem deals, gives them a try out to see if 1 out of 10 is any good or sells tickets His shows lately have been awful, full of mismatches I feel it's nearly over for Warren
If BT gave Mick Hennessey the BT contract he would put on much better fights than Frank. In fairness he already does on Channel 5 (bet rights fee is much smaller than what BT are paying).
Actually agree with this. although his own shows were mismatches I always thought David Haye would have tried to go into promoting again at some point
Hope big Mick reads these forums, definitely puts on the best £ for £ TV shows. Probably the best matchmaker in the UK and he usually has a great eye for spotting talent.
Whoever is the matchmaker for Mick is excellent. Hearn/Warren should take note. Entertaining matchmaking is an art but not as hard now everything is filmed- it does make me wonder how much boxing actually gets watched by the big promoters.
Definetly has an ste for talent and is the best watchmaker. I actually think if I was him unless i would just manage fighters. He is loyal to fighters, picks best fughts snd will fight their corner. Ideal Manager.
I like Warren but his cards are awful these days. It's not as if he's setting up lots of good English/British level fights either so I can't see what the 4 man matchmaking team that Queensberry announced last year are actually doing. It's just fairly big names in absolute mismatches.
They have been awful recently. i give him a semi pass on his last card as two fights were decent on paper but weren't that good after. What was bad thou was not putting on that super fly fight, which was meant to be really good
