Part of Triller's absolute madness. 8 rounds @ cruiserweight, Ortíz making his professional boxing debut and da Silva his second match of 2021 (defeating Julio César Chávez Carrasco aka JCC Jr. in June) after having only previously fought under MoQ in 1998 and 2005. Ortíz is a former UFC "light heavyweight"* champion, reigning for 1,260 days (good for 8th longest all time p4p in the MMA company's history) and da Silva was their "middleweight"** champion for 2,457 days making him the #1 longest reigning of all titlists. *their "light heavyweight" being defined as 186-205lb (84-93 kg) **their "middleweight" being defined as 171-185lb (78-84 kg)
This. Literally the typical wrestler who could never grasp striking. Silva should look like Ali in there.
Jeez, 195. I was under the impression Ortiz came into the ring at 220+ in his athletic prime. Those MMA guys confuse me though, they apparently do these huge weight cuts yet often seem fairly small framed for their weight classes compared to boxers….a lot of them seem really inflated for whatever reason.
Copied and pasted from the Holyfield vs. Belfort thread and only edited out their nicknames, forgot to change "and" into "vs.", whoops.
