2 skilled, slick fighters. Who takes it.

There is no KO/TKO opinion, both of them are featherfisted

You're dead wrong, it would be an exciting slugfest. This war would be sooo brutal it would make the 2 "Liston vs Cleveland Williams" fights look like a friendly and soft exhibition.

Anyway i pick Chris Byrd by a controversial split decision in a fight where most people believe Young deserved the win.

Draw. (I see a ban coming). But when the same threads are rehashed again and again…

I pick Byrd via UD because was more, you know, offensively inclined. He threw punches, and he threw 'em fast.

Yeah, and that's nice and all, but who wins between Ali and Tyson? What about a round robin between Tyson, Tua, and Marciano?

That’s the spirit! Ha ha! We could probably fill the first five pages bumping Ali vs. Tyson threads.

Yes. But let's not. But yes.

    Incidentally, Tyson wins.

EDIT: Or Ali. One of the two. It's not really something that comes up enough to get an answer, ya know...? Underexplored, you might say.

    Sigh..okay.
Apologies to the OP of this thread. It is an interesting topic. I guess I’m cranky after being stuck in traffic today. I usually let repeat threads go, but this time my, “Oh, not again!” got me to bump up the other Young-Byrd threads just to, I don’t know, make some sort of point.

I hear ya. I liked the way you made the point, actually. But don't really want to see you get banned, either.

(The Groundhog Day effect you've demonstrated suggests that the memory of your point will fade as quickly as memory of the past 10 Byrd/Young threads did.)

I narrowly went with Byrd by a decision but in truth it may be one of the most indecisive fights of all time

There's apparently an entire closet industry of old vs young Foreman threads in this site's past.
