I was recently watching the interviews with John Fury where he denounced what he perceived to be an overemphasis on forward aggression from Tyson training in the Kronk gym. Then seeing training footage where they were strongly emphasizing movement and defensive skills. What approach do you think that Fury will bring into the rematch with Wilder? I could see where he could stand to emphasize a bit more movement, but seeing how successful he was pushing Wilder back on his heels I cannot see them abandoning the approach, unless they're fools.
Same approach as the second fight in my opinion, push Wilder back and make him fight on the back foot. Can't see him changing it as it worked so well, and will probably work again unless Wilder has learn't to fight on the back foot or manages to land one of his windmills.
Couple feinty early rounds while still applying pressure. Pick up where he left off after that. I expect Wilder to do better, but I expect Fury to win.
Bully him and adopt a similar approach to the second fight, hoping that Wilder hasn’t learnt enough to counteract and land clean enough to end it.
Fight the same as the second fight Wilder can’t fight off the back foot when being pushed backwards. His entire stick has been based on being set and out of range, then able to jump in and do a raid attack. Wilder isn’t going to become a new fighter at his age either. It’s too late for him to learn a whole new way of fighting
wilder cant load up with out stepping forward hes getting backed up and ktfo yet again and all this new shyte from wilder tells you he was ignorant to learning and advice old dog new tricks its over man its over
The only way to beat Wilder is moving forward. Wilder has nothing on the inside. You stay at range and you're probably getting KO'd. Fury should get his fat ass in shape and do the same thing he did last time but better.
Wilder can't do anything He is mentallly fragile. He will gas out again. He has hyped himself up and puts a good front on for the camera but when he steps in that ring on his own he shrivels up like an eskimo's sausage
With Wilder you need to apply constant pressure Don't give him room to breathe Don't give him room to fully extend his shots Wilder's entire boxing career is sitting at range, making smaller men fall short using his height and then placing his single shot. Don't give him that option he falls apart. Small men were successful pressuring him, but Wilder could cope with them he can't cope with a 6'8" 270 pound man. Fury showed what happens if you potshot and jib jab around Wilder in the 1st bout, you give him room and increase the odds of him finding that explosive right hand. Fury didn't just bowl through him in the 2nd bout, he broke him down with the jab and out positioned him badly whilst coming forwards in a slow methodical fashion, once he broke Wilder it was a free for all.
He should not change a winning formula. Pressure and eat a few bombs to drop ole boy. The crazy thing is you can never discount Wilder landing that powerful right. We either see a reply from the second fight, which is highly likely, or we get a chess game like the first encounter.
Don't forget headlocks. Fury used the headlock exquisitely in the rematch. Only cost him 1 point. Well worth it, considering he stopped Wilder.
