Could be a difficult night for Whyte. Wallin isn't a big puncher but he's still young and has the experience of the Fury fight behind him to know he can mix it with the best. That said, I'd still expect Whyte to take it.
He needs to make a statement here does Whyte. His credibility has been restored in regards to the casual audience but big boxing fans will know that he's been quite underwhelming for some time. Losing to Chisora until he pulled a KO out the bag, scraping by Parker in a very contentious fight. The doping and gloves fiasco against Rivas and being uppercutted on his backside. Being out of shape in a war with Wach. Getting put to sleep by a shot to pieces Povetkin before redeeming himself against an even more shot to pieces, post covid Povetkin. Probably the most over rated heavyweight of recent times with a proper smoke and mirrors CV that's shoved down our throats along with the most avoided hype. Wallin is the away fighter and he will get no help from the officials and judges. Another short camp as well so probably been doping (on both sides) up until the last minute. Bored of all this crap.
People love to criticise Whyte and Hearn so won’t give this any credit but it’s much better than the names we were given. It weren’t so long ago Fury fans were saying how great he was because he beat Breazeale but will now try and discredit Whyte for taking it. It’s a good one tickover and possibly a tough one for someone of Whytes ability.
Listing a few poor names then announcing a slightly better one doesn't deserve credit. Hearn was slagging Wallin off not long ago saying he was terrible etc. Also why does Whyte need a tickover? It'll have been about 7 months since he beat a covid-riddled old man inside 4 rounds.
Fighters openly admitting they want easy fights. Christ. As for life and death, Fury won 8/9 rounds and Wallin's team almost chucked the towel in in round 10.
Hes mandatory for a world title. Most people have tickovers. Credit for the fight is probably the wrong thing but the one thing he shouldn’t get from this is criticism. Wallin is a top 15 heavyweight.
He was knocking him because AJ wouldn't face a fighter of such a low calibre, it had nothing to do with Wyhte. Stop pushing that narrative.
I prefer being upfront and honest about the level of opponent rather than trying to hype up padded record types such as Wallin,Franklin, Stiverne and Schwarz. Wallin won 4 rounds but busted Fury open with very, very bad cut which would had been stopped in most cases had it not been so much money riding on the Wilder rematch.
You were saying yesterday Wach, Chisora and Rivas were better than Wilder. That's not being honest. As for Whyte making a statement, triangle theories are very much hindsight. You could say Whyte went life and death with someone Fury battered (Chisora).
Hahaha, you are as reliable as clockwork. It's quite an interesting fight that, provided Wallin is fit, should answer a few questions. Namely; was Wallin underestimated by Fury's team and is actually a decent HW? Will be very interesting to see. The narrative being cooked up by Hearn and Whyte is that if Whyte beats Wallin fairly easily that makes him more deserving of a fight with Fury regardless of the Wilder result. Good move by them as the public will push for it.
Butterbean's little brother did not ice Lewis - those images of Joshua being battered by a little fatty will always be on Boxing comedy clips.
