I feel guilty about parroting your excellent nicknames for all of these puddings. You know credit goes to the original, any time I use them! Rice Pudding Ruiz Jr is the biggest irony of them all. @NEETzschean put it very well a few weeks ago in an exchange we had about the whole Rice Pudding Ruiz Jr beating Joshua and all of a sudden becoming a feather in his cap by beating him in the rematch. He was literally put down on his arse by a past it, old, shot to pieces and formerly retired Arreola in the subsequent bout. He couldn't even wobble one of the most fragile and shot to pieces boxers in recent times, Liakhovich. When you start resorting to rattling off names like Dimitrenko, you're in serious bother.
This is a matter of depth, and Tyson's resume has none. So why do people slate AJ's resume for depth but don't knock Tyson's?
Considering some of the names linked this is at least a fight you can compare ( even if it means nothing) to the Fury one.
So far DAZN is absolutely shocking quality compared to what was promised. You don't necessarily need big names to make your cards entertaining, putting evenly matched opponents on the upside in their career in competitive fights would be enough but too many promoters and I'm not just singling out Eddie although he's a prime offender do the opposite - Mismatches with a lot spin plus smoke and mirrors to con the fans that they're seeing a competitive fight has been Matchroom's modus operandi for the last 10 years. Just a shame that the fighters and promoters within the business have become believers that once a prospect loses their 0 then it's over for them even though the evidence suggests otherwise. That mindset really needs to change and fast. As for The Deluxe Pudding and Wallin - This is classic Matchroom/Dill/Sky "Another step in The Bodysnatchers path towards a World title" they've been saying the same nonsense for nearly 5 years now and it never happens, just another fairly easy cash in for The Deluxe Pudding but of all his fights this is going to be the hardest sell for PPV if that's the medium it's gonna be on.
When it comes to the rating of Wilder, Fury, Whyte...the use of resumes without context, I find myself totally disagreeing with @Mitch87 but you know what, in all my time on here I have not once seen him resort to personal insults, throw his toys out the pram or anything like that. Same with Jurgen who comes at it from the other side (apart from Tony Hayers but he deserved it). Sorry to go off topic but thought it was worth pointing out the class in which this section of the board mostly conducts itself. As you were.
That’s what it’s all about. We all love boxing and many people see things differently but at the end of the day it’s only opinions.
No decent Heavyweight Champion should lose to the little fat blob - was absolutely shocked watching Joshua lose in New York.
The fat blob that royalty like Freddie Roach rated before he smashed AJ? Please, your agenda is blatant. Fury, who you have as the GOAT, shouldn't even be facing a nobody like Wallin let alone nearly getting stopped by the chap!
Is Wallin worse than Ruiz? Who knows. He's certainly no worse than Martin, Takam and Breazeale, is he?
