Watch some youtube vids on Tyson, he was awesome, you know nothing about boxing, Tyson could have been the greatest of all-time but lost focus.

Yes, i know that's a very weird bump, but i am recently looking for any claim that Patterson was faster than tyson , or vice versa.
I am looking for the sources, and i think there is no better idea than asking the expert in this field himself.
Do you have any information on that?

Patterson may well have been a little faster than Tyson, which is to be expected when carrying much less bulk.
Still Tyson has massive advantages, best Patterson can hope for is take him to the middle rounds by being elusive before he gets knocked out.
Or lasts only 1 if he is too intimidated.

Tyson wins this...without any doubt. Just like Liston, because Floyd is a slow starter. I'm the biggest Floyd fan, but no chance he will survive that early thunderstorm. Lets say: If both fight a 6 round exibition fight before that. And then they start to fight each other it'll be more like a 50/50 or 55/45 Patterson. Or if we talk about ~2000-2003 Tyson vs prime Patterson, i see a chance Floyd surviving the early rounds and turns this. But prime vs prime 100% early KO Tyson.

Not much to analyze here. Next to Sonny Liston, Mike Tyson is probably about the worst stylistic match up for Floyd that there is

Patterson had the fastest hands in heavyweight history and Tyson studied film of Patterson`s hooks and peek a boo to learn from that, both fighters were amazingly fast.

Floyd Patterson is one of my all-time favorite fighters and I would always root for him. But like most here, I cannot see him getting past the first round. Tyson was a fast starter and explosive puncher, even moreso than Liston. Very bad style matchup for Patterson.

Tyson by KO. It's a replay of Tyson vs Spinks. Floyd was a magnificent fighter, but ATG 200+ pound punchers are his kryptonite. Tyson and Liston were comparable in punching power, plus Tyson was alot faster than Liston.

I’d give Patterson handspeed, endurance, & heart advantages. Some of the combinations in the second fight with Johansson I don’t think even Ali could equal for sheer velocity.

Obviously it won’t count for much in this fight.
