I can't really find anyone claiming that Fury has some incredibly deep record. I don't think he does. But it's certainly no worse than Joshua's, and he has the higher level wins (and away from home). That's the difference, nobody bangs on about Fury's deep record, but plenty of the Joshua fanboys bang on about his deep record. It's because they have nothing else to cling onto.
Than who? Ruiz? Possibly, but possibly not. I don't know yet. Surely you don't know, either. He's definitely not worse than Takam, Martin or Breazeale. Is he worse than Paint Dry Parker or Pudding Pulev? Sick of hearing about Pudding Pulev and his amazing jab and amateur pedigree. What's he got to show for it? He stood there in the middle of ring like an absolute prat waving his hands above with his head with feet stuck in the mud like Tong Po out of Kickboxer in that Joshua bout. Absolutely crap!
Tyson Fury is the top of the tree at the present time - lineal champion, undefeated world champion, held all 4 belts, and most importantly dethroned 2 long reigning champions away from home as a big underdog in both fights. Joshua was defeated by a fat little blob, has a cv with a fine range of puddings, had only one fight with a little uncertainty at Wembley v Old Klit and nearly lost that fight - once he cleans out Wilder, Fury, Usyk then we can revise opinions about him. If Joshua retired tomorrow, his legacy is being battered by a fat little man who would struggle to jump 10 times in a row on a bouncy castle.
If he did retire tomorrow, the legend of The Gypsy King will be talked about 100 years from now. The visual images of Joshua being battered by little fatty v the visual images of Fury getting up after being knocked down by Wilder. No heart v Fighting Man
So, in conclusion and the reason we're all arguing, is the fact these top HWs need to start fighting each other. I know we've got some coming up... All we're doing is looking a resumes at the minute....we need to see some fights!!
Takam's undderated was way better in his prime than Wallin (he'll even now, I had Takam up against Joyce before they went into the final round with a very premature stoppage). Takam should of had Jennings shot at Wlad instead. Takam got a draw with Perez but most people thought Takam was.the deserved winner. Perez them fought Jennings, Jennings earned a SD win due to controversial late point deduction (judges would have scored it a draw otherwise). Jennings earned the title shot after that. I'd back Martin against Wallin in a potential fight, Martin certainly the the much harder puncher of the two. Wallin is better than Breazeale but that's not saying much as his best peformance is a win against Molina.
Absolutely mate - Fury v Joshua, Joshua v Wilder, Fury v Usyk, Joshua v Usyk, Usyk v Wilder and Joe Joyce against any of the 4 would do me for starters.
Wallin is going to box circles around Whyte. I rate Wallin as the 5th best heavyweight in the world. He is so underrated. I find it hard to believe Wallin's reach is only 78, Fury wasn't able to just keep him away with the jab. Will definitely subscribe to DAZN for this fight. Matchroom need to put on more fights like this.
Both got pros and cons. Fury - contradictive, doesn't defend belts, inactive pull out merchant but undefeated, Ring champion, held every belt, dethroned 2 long-reigning champions in their own backyard as underdog. Joshua - hard to like or dislike IMO as you never see the real Joshua. Active fighter, fought a whole load of B level heavyweights if you like but doesn't have that career defining win. Won his belts against poor fighters. Tried to crack America once and got knocked out by a huge underdog.
