What’s happen to Jamie McDonnell and his brother.

Has anyone else noticed other boxers gone missing during Covid?

Didn't he go off the rails with drink for a while. A messy split with his mrs and access issues to his daughter. Hope his all sorted now really enjoyed watching him fight.

Jamie went through a rough time, lost to Inoue, then his marriage collapsed and he slipped in to depression and I believe he hit the bottle quite hard.

I wish the man well whatever he is doing, I hope he got a grip of his life and is doing well.

I always rated Jamie, a proper hardworking boxer that did exceptional with the limited tools he had. It was brilliant seeing him win titles, and he was generally good to watch.

He did openly admit he wasn’t a big fan of boxing (whilst still fighting) and only did it because he was good and it paid the bills. Happy he retired with his health, it was dreadful watching him over in Japan.

Gavin is usually good to watch, not quite as good as his brother but he’s doing well for himself.

He went through a real bad patch during the lockdown period. Now been treated for mental health issues and is on serious meds. I know Gaz well and sometimes I think, did boxing give him a short period of reprieve from his fate. Instead of the usual lines of, "he had it all and threw it away"

    Shooting stars and all that!
