I know a guy who knows a guy who sparred with Lomachenko and wasn’t impressed with his car mechanic skills. You should have added the word “power” into the title, would have made it less clickbaity. Usyk is not, nor has he ever been, the power puncher. This tells us nothing we don’t already know as fans of boxing.
In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king. Martin has been in with both men and I'd have to trust has a far better insight than us blind men.
Basically yeah and I too had used NDAs and had been used NDA vs me: I had drilled clinch vs guy, not only NDA, I can't gamble on his fights during said negotiated term. One from my examples. Camp: NDA and you even can't gamble on him for this fight. I also can't gamble on fights where lads associated due other reasons with me are in.
A 72% ko rate is not bad at all. Usyk is not probably a one punch KO artist. But he's a guy who arrives to round 10 in perfect shape, with the tank full and who will start connecting combinations of 3 and 4 punches, cleanly, nonstop when in round 10 the oponent has not much more to offer. He's more than able to ko joshua. The way usyk fights the final rounds is no joke at all.
I don't care how old is Bakole. Ortiz yeah, better had been well promoted and had been today 30-35 y.o.
Usyk being a world class southpaw at cruiser still my be enough to catch AJ to be honest from an AJ fan I’m worried
He didn't say he wasn't impressed with him This content is protected Dave Allen was impressed after sparring him and in his own words knocked out on his feet from a solitary left hand. Allen is teak-tough and has never been down. Allen only had 10 amateur fights and he fought the very big punching Dillian Whyte and Luis Ortiz in just his 11th and 12th pro fights, neither of whom could drop him This content is protected Usyk isn't a KO puncher but he can punch when he wants to And he's fought a lot of very durable fighters Briedis was undefeated, a reigning world champion, and has never been hurt, let alone dropped, stopped or KO'd. Briedis has sparred many rounds with the Klitschko brothers and according to James Ali Bashir was never hurt which he says is very rare for anyone who has done over 30 rounds with Wlad Gassiev was undefeated, a reigning unified champion, and has never been hurt, let alone dropped, stopped or KO'd. Gassiev has sparred many top HWs and bashed up and wrecked numerous top 10 ones according to reliable sources Glowacki was a reigning world champion, undefeated and had never been stopped at the time. Okolie stopped a past prime Glowacki and Okolie has freakish dimensions for CW, is in his own trainer's words really a HW boxing at CW, and can really crack. Usyk boxed and moved against Glowacki and wasn't even trying to get him out of there. When Usyk fought Huck who disrespected him he was in full sadist mode and wanted to punish and hurt him. Hunter had never been hurt, dropped, stopped or KO'd. Uysk had him in big trouble in the final round, sent him reeling into the ropes which the ref rightfully called a KD and many refs would've stopped the fight in the 12th due to the amount of punishment Hunter was taking. Usyk had Hunter in way more trouble than Bakole did. Not saying he hits harder than him but that's just a fact. To be fair, Hunter was heavier against Bakole though. Hunter boxed up at SHW in the ams and was never stopped by any of the huge behemoths he fought up there: Fury, Roberto Cammarelle, Fat Andy Ruiz, Islam Timurziev (huge puncher), and Oscar Rivas among others. Bakole stopped four extremely tough and durable HWs on the spin after losing to Hunter but the little CW Hunter stopped him. Bellew was undefeated at CW, a much more healthy weight for him than 175 where he looked like a reanimated corpse at weigh ins, and had only been stopped once, by the murderous punching Adonis and that was down at 175 Usyk stopped Huck who was a former long-reigning world champion and had only been stopped twice, once in the 12th round when he was young and very green and utterly exhausted, the other time in the 11th by the big punching Glowacki Usyk stopped Mchunu who is very slick, tricky awkward and talented and has beaten some very good fighters Chisora who fights with his face and is teak-tough and had only been stopped by the murderous punching Haye and Whyte from a picture perfect left hook and by Fury on a corner retirement after taking systematic beating and Fury needed two stabs at trying to get Chisora out of there as did Whyte Here's Usyk stopping Eric Brechlin in the WSB. Usyk gave him three standing counts and did enough to make Brechlin's corner feel compelled to throw in the towel This content is protected Brechlin lasted the full five round distance against the absolutely murderous punching 260lb giant Arslanbek Makhmudov and big punching behemoth Hrgovic in the WSB. Correct me if I'm wrong but I could swear there appears to be footage of Usyk dropping and stopping a 270lb SHW in a couple of rounds here. Said SHW lost on a cut eye in the 4th round to Joe Joyce in the WSB and had beaten some pretty decent fighters in the WSB too. And I'm pretty sure there's also some footage here of Usyk backing up and having a 250-260lb giant SHW looking decidedly concerned, positively intimidated even. I know these things happened because I saw them with my own eyes. As I've been saying for years, the Usyk who fought in the WSB, who was clearly more fluid, faster, with quicker reaction times and reflexes, and who couter punched a lot more which is exactly what he should've been working on for AJ and the rest of the HWs he's fought in the pros, would cause nightmares for all these lumbering giants. He didn't need to bulk up. This content is protected
12 rounds of landing good shots and Chisora was having a harder time just avoiding tripping over his own clumsy feet that getting dropped by usyk. At heavyweight he looks feather fisted
I appreciate the comment. I really do. I read it all, thoroughly. However: 1- None of those boxers you mentioned are as big and strong as AJ. Dancing and playing with cruiserweights shouldn't be same as doing the same thing to a giant & strong heavyweight. 2- Usyk couldn't drop Briedis, Gassiev, Glowacki, Joyce, Whitterspoon, Chisora. 3- Usyk has put on weight, he never fought in such a heavy weight before. 4- AJ is an olympic gold medalist at super heavy weight, he is superior to the boxers you mentioned. 5- Usyk didn't look good against an aged and shot Chisora. He was hit in the face frequently and pasted to ropes. He can't endure heavyweighy power punches. 6- Usyk is 34, AJ is 31 years old. I don't understand why people are insisting on Usyk against AJ. It's probably because of that unfortunate loss against Ruiz. It won't happen again. All the boxing industry, AJ, Fury, Matchroom, UK, US, WBC, WBA, IBF etc are all waiting for 1 thing: Fury vs Joshua. Usyk fight is just some insignificant thing for Joshua to pass the time, until Fury deals with Wilder. Only 1 week left to AJ vs Usyk fight. Have any of you seen any promotions, events, press conference etc about this match? No, because AJ, Matchroom and everyone is already looking past this fight, everybody is waiting for AJ vs Fury. AJ will 100% KO Usyk, it will be a very easy night for Joshua.
We already know that. He knocked people with volume at Cruiser. He didn't have 1 punch KO power at Cruiser and his punches have less of an effect at Heavy. Usyk hurts people with punches they can't see coming. AJ has almost every physical advantage in the fight. The question is whether or not Usyk's skills can overcome those physical advantages.
Will save for future, will see. Yeah. U ask from Usyk to drop Briedis 33 y.o version? Usyk for sure isn't Wlad or Vitali < 37y.o versions. Even these did not had achieved this vs prime Briedis in these sparrings. LOL. Ohh, and who had stopped Hunter, Gassiev till today? Even Glowacki had been TKOed by the same Briedis ( yeah, poles crying about dirtyboxer get punished and crying with claims and excuses. ) before Okolie had get him for beatup. A.J is Olympic gold " medalist " not medalist for serious boxing fans. Unlike even Lewis and Campbell and bunch with US boxers where never had been any doubts here. LOL. Ohh, yeah, A.J when had been tested in US had well endured fat Andy punches we all had saw. Basically add to 217 lbs boxer fat and you will get Andy. A.J will not beat guy if he will have enough fat! Sadly Usyk does not have enough fat, therefore he will loss. If he had gained fat till 268 lbs weight, he had TKOed A.J. Now A.J will win via UD or otherwise.
He already had insignificant fights enough. Beated up by Povetkin Takam and recently : 39 y.o Pulev, thank you.
