It serves the purpose of both of them making as much money as possible whilst waiting for an opportunity

Issue we have in boxing is that the heavyweights All want to only take the high reward fights. You have guys like Charles Martin asking for $2-3m to fight Whyte. The guy has done nothing since getting blasted by AJ.

From Hearns point of view Chisora is a household name although faded still a low-key headline act. Hearn has around 10 heavys under his roster. Some prospects etc and others waiting on mandatory.

That leaves him the option of making Parker vs Chisora which he can sell somewhat. Or going outside of his stable to people like Ortiz and Hunter. Let’s face it how tough would a Parker vs Hunter fight be to a UK or US audience when both guys would want big money.

He’s made the reasonable fight that he will likely put on a bunch of prospects on the undercard to build exposure. My guess is we see Benn, buatsi hatton on the card.

For me the only other fight that would have made sense for all parties at this stage would have been Parker taking the IBF eliminator against Hrgovic as he then jumps up the queue to a world title fight in 12-18 months. But my guess with this is he will see if the WBO becomes vacant after fury vs AJ and he then potentially fights for a vacant belt against Joyce. So for him it’s about sitting tight.

the only way we get a way out of this is we have one dominant promoter and one belt. That way fights can be forced

Agree. Taylor is 5x the fighter either Chisora or Parker are. Cattarell has beat all the best of British (outside Taylor) to get fight. Feel for him as he has been promoted terrible. Much better quality fight than Chisora trying to avoid defeat number 12 or something. Everytime he step up he loses. Have never seen anyone get so many chances to prove themselves at a higher level, after losing.

The first fight was decent and a close fight so I'm happy there having a rematch. I thought Del boy won the first fight and this time I think he will Knock Parker out.

I think if this fight was in the midst of game changing cards then it would be ok, the fact that this is a game changing card makes it all seem just distinctly average.

If you're excited for it then fair play to you. I'm sure you will be hoping for a Del boy win and a trilogy!
