This fight has been put out to purse bids for next month for the English title. I would imagine there is minimal chance Big Mick will outbid Frank Warren for this fight. Would this be enough for Nathan Heaney to headline a card? Not sure if there is am arena in Stoke bigger than the hall he has previously headlined at. Lennox Clarke vs Zak Chelli has been agreed for October for the British belt, would NH vs RBW be better as the co main to this in Birmingham.
Wilson is decent whereas Heaney is quite limited, not sure they’d take this one. Be good if it does happen, but doubt it’s a headliner.
I agree. He just doesn’t look to have that much to his game past a decent engine / work rate when I see him.
Heaney tweeted today he has a title fights in November. Wonder if it is for a domestic or international belt
Parents follow the 'Boy named Sue' protocol on raising a champion boxer. Think of all the bullying, think how hard it's made him. No wonder he's become a professional boxer. It's like I tell my own sons, Lulu Trixiebell and Lily Buttercup, a name that challenges traditional stereotypes can be a strong source of self motivation.
I know a couple of Stoke fans who have gone to watch him. They seem to be fully aware of his limitations but seem to just be enjoying the ride. Always brilliant when someone like this comes out of nowhere who just gets lucky with the following and not just because they have a famous dad.
Every fights they seem to be have an absolute party. So almost doesn't matter if he gets to British or above. Does seem a top lad as well
Probably sound a miserable fcker here but I absolutely cannot stand football fans at boxing singing their shyte songs all night. He does seem a decent lad but if I wanted to listen to Stoke songs I’d go and watch Stoke.
