The good news is the value of the rights has stopped increasing as both Sky and BT seen the EPL were taking them for proper mugths just like they do with their customers for Box Office boxing.

Hopefully the arris falls out of the market and the price of the rights decreases significantly from now onwards.

The market is saturated with sports subscriptions and it was only a matter of time before something had to give. Subscribers see those obscene sums made by footballers etc.

Buying BT would be good for DAZN as I believe a TV platform will be more popular than a streaming service up to 2 mins behind live action.

Old Fish Eyes should now be looking to resurrect Boxnation or get on Sky while he can.

First of all they are not in talks. If you read the actual quote from the DAZN guy he actually says talks have gone quiet.

Secondly let's for argument sake say DAZN did buy BT sport. DAZN now have to pay for cricket Australia, premier league, champions League, premiership rugby union, UFC just to name a few and you think this will be still priced at £7.99. that's pure lunacy and you know it.

That's not a loss leader. That's business suicide which is clearly not sustainable. You must see that yourself. Also if we look at the example of DAZN in Italy. Soon as they won Serie A rights, prices went up so they could actually pay for the damn thing.

Just read the below article and tell me if this sounds like a guy who is happy to keep losing money.

Wouldnt surprise me if Dazn is a money laundering scheme. All these russian billionaires are gangsters.

Earn is just securing the free bag like kugan does with mtk

It's just getting worse by the show.

It won't be long before I'm on here banging on about how much I miss the Sky coverage after years of slaughtering it.

Would love to DAZN to acquire BT sports. One less subscription and money remaining in my pocket.

Not strictly true. Modern companies show nothing but losses for years while they are growing. As long as the investors see expansion they are happy.
    See: Amazon, Netflix etc.

I never said it wouldn’t increase. I know for a fact talks are continuing although not close to concluded.

DAZN higher ups are entertaining the idea of buying BT sport and considering it. I wouldn’t say it’s pure lunacy from them considering their vast experience in the field. They will know far more than you or me.

for reference Netflix took over 20 years to turn a profit. It’s a long game. DAZN are three years
    In. Let’s see what happens.

Some people don’t understand how business amd market capitalisation works. Most social media businesses are the same such as Instagram.
The goal is to drive the competition out which Amazon are well on their way to doing and Netflix likewise.

Netflix now have over $2.8 billion in annual revenue and turn a profit. It took a long time to get there

Absolutely mate - more subs now than the British Navy has patrolling the Mersey on Box Office night.

If only. He's been on everything going (that I don't watch). Even hosting a radio show now called "Tony Bellew is Angry". I think that most people who don't follow boxing but have heard of him probably think he's some sort of legendary boxer.

Just had a look on his insta and some of my mates who have absolutely zero interest in boxing follow him. He used to stay in a hotel not far from me when he was being trained by Penfold and used to be seen heading in the tanning salon in my village. Kept that one quiet Tony.
