Recently found out that that even Mike Tyson bite opponent's ear to win match, is this a good strategy? This content is protected
Great strategy. It's even better to bite someone's stomach, like Kash Ali. Best still remains lowblowing and headbutting your opponent, as they usually get away without disqualification. Holyfield himself was (in)famous for the lowblow-headbutt combo, and even putting in a livershot near the end of his career.
Biting is too blatant, a left and right uppercut to the nuts followed by a hook to the head is a better strategy , but the whole basis of boxing is deception and making your shots unpredictable so mixing in a occasional headbutt is necessary to befuddle your opponent. And last but not the least, stop trolling on your first post.
The bite was a point deduction, but ripping off a chunk of ear is likely to make your opponent lose a lot of blood. So it's a logical trade off. The smart move is to go for the ear bite right away, lose the points, but as the blood loss makes your opponent light headed, you can KO them later in the fight. You can combine with with some clean effective headbutts, and a bunch of illegal stiff-arming, and excessive holding. A truly skilled fighter will fake a low blow after losing the point for biting. This will bring the score cards back to an even state. Tyson just got greedy and went for two bites which resulted in a DQ.
Why not a smith&wesson? If you are going to do it, do it right. You will get a point deduction, but after you shoot him in the head you will be able to ko him pretty fast in the next rounds.
