Completely right, they will rob him if it goes to the scorecards. He has to stop aj and he will between the 10th and 11th round. He will outcounter aj when he is gassed and desperate and stop him late

You do realise that AJ only gets gassed when he's gone for a KO right? So in order to get AJ gassed, he's likely going to suffer a knockdown before then?

Personally, I would respond that I don't care how muscular his body is in terms of being cut or chiseled but actual maximal strength would definitely matter. Rewatching the Chisora match he actually is getting tossed around by shots to the arms, chest, neck. Physically mauled ny the larger man. If he could increase his maximal strength as well as maintain or improve his explosive strength he may be able to take this match.

He needs to make some Prohibition era gangster movies after he's done boxing. Or maybe a WW1 war movie.

It is obvious he didn't train hard for AJ fight. He is probably there to get his retirement paycheck, because he knows he will lose.

This is not set in stone: everything might be corrected if he will land 1 really proper liver punch, temple punch or solar plexus punch.

If he will lost, nothing special, pro boxing is prizefighting and who had told that he will retire?
    Femi must win this one.

While, sorry, Ruiz Jr was not able to finish 40 y.o 238 lbs shot to pieces Arreola.
With A.J ha had mopped floor.
There is cool example how big world killer is needed here to drop A.J on the canvas.

Now there will be arguments: Ruiz is natural HW. LOL, take Haye or Usyk 217 lbs version, add fat and water and you might get 268 lber and 273 lber.

Ohh, and if about paychecks, why he can't learn from Chisora and Haye?
Chisora had lost vs 40 y.o Vitali and then in good shape 217 lber in Haye.
Looks that his big paydays just had started to come in after this.

    Haye?
Nice paychecks for fights vs Bellew and then these excuses.
U think he didn't knew in what shape he is?
    Nothing wrong, paychecks.

Why Usyk too can't to continue collect paychecks after he will loss vs A.J?
This if he will not KO A.J.

Usyk`s fundamentals are far better than AJ`s.

Usyk better sticking to a boxing gameplan. Once he starts adding non functional mass on that puny frame, the bodybuilder will trap him in the corner, and give him a beating!

I don’t think that’s Usyk’s mentality at all. He and his team will completely believe he can win. You don’t achieve all he has in the sport if you’re prepared for a ‘retirement paycheque’.

This, getting to where they are takes some incredible mental fortitude. I know from experience, I didn't have what it takes mentally to make it in sports
In order to get to that level in any sport, you need to dedicate your life to it completely for at lest 10 years, doing 8-12 hrs of training, recovery and physio a day, you need to be prepared to come back from long term injuries. It's very difficult to do that when you haven't got a professional team around you, you need sports psychologists in order to stay motivated throughout and come back at 100%, I've seen many supremely talented people be ruined by ligament injuries.

Exactly. If Usyk genuinely didn’t believe he could compete at the top level of HW he’d have never made the move up.

I’ve got no idea how Saturday is going to go. I can see a good argument made for pretty much any eventuality. It’s an intriguing fight and I just hope we see a conclusive and uncontroversial result.

It would be such a shame if a fight like this is decided by poor judging.

If Usyk thought he could become heavyweight champion he never would've moved down.

Usyk fought big heavyweights in the WSB for more than a year before officially turning pro. He began his pro career as a heavyweight

    Then he moved down.

He wouldn't have waited until he was nearly 35 to challenge for a heavyweight title if he believed he could be the best.

He just can't make cruiserweight anymore. He certainly hasn't taken the division by storm since he left cruiserweight.

This is sort of a gift as it is. The WBO made him the mandatory when he moved back up.

    It is his retirement party.
