It depends which AJ turns up. If he wants to make a statement he’ll stop him after 8, if he just wants to win it’ll be a comfortable points victory.
All the pressure is on usyk. Bought out judges and ref and also the fact that he probably wont get another chance if he loses
Putting my cards on the table and without babbling: joshua late stoppage Babbling: leading to that stoppage usyks footwork and positioning is going to cause aj nightmares, usyk will have great moments & ask big questions of joshua,i would not at all be suprised to see him beat joshua but i do think joshua "finds a way" here and gets the W Would love to see usyk do it though
Aj points maybe stoppage. Theres a reason for weight classes in boxing. Usyk wont be able to carry out his usual tactics of getting the opponent working harder than they want to be because hes giving too much away. Look at david haye...almost the perfect man to move up to heavyweight. He found it not easy fighting the naturally bigger guys. They can take your punches better. Tire you out more in clinches. Make you more vulnerable to be countered because you need to be the one to bridge the gap. The list goes on and on.
I think we are going to see a boxing masterclass from usyk, I think he is going to show joshua levels that he hasn't faced before . Remember this prediction 6th round usyk tko!!!
Make no mistake usyk is going for the ko with the extra weight he has put on, i think he truly believes he will get to joshua early!!!
I think AJ will win via late stoppage or a relatively comfortable points win. I hope Usyk can pull something out of the bag and deliver on the early hype but I don't see it. I think if people had only seen Usyk at HW then no one would be thinking he had a chance against AJ. All the hype is from what he did years ago at a different weight class and as we all know the jump from cruiser to heavy is like no other.
It’s an intriguing fight and one I don’t have a really strong opinion on what’s going to happen. I’m really not convinced that Usyk is or can be an effective heavyweight. That being said Joshua still maybe have some gremlins from that Ruiz fight, even in the shutout rematch I thought he look petrified to get hit. Personally think that if Joshua is aggressive and assertive then he could win and has a good chance to force the knock out. Obviously he has to manage his gas tank. It’s a simple game plan for me, hold the middle of the ring and let his hands go in spots. Connecting with Usyk anywhere will wear him down and I don’t think Usyk will want to be getting hit with a lot. If he tries to box Usyk then it will play into Usyk’s hands and he may waste a lot of mental energy doing so. It will leave Usyk in the fight in the last 4 rounds and he might end up pushing Joshua back himself. I can’t really see a points win for Usyk, given the size advantages, home town crowd and promotion etc, I just don’t think it will be one sided enough for him to win at least 7 rounds on two judges scorecards. He won’t have that level of dominance. Good fight. At a guess I think Usyk might be a bit out of his depth due to the size and athleticism of Joshua.
Can't help agreeing with @bbjc here. I think Joshua will nick the close rounds with his size and reach. Usyk will have success and make him work but he's just got too many variables against him here both in the ring and particularly out of it.
Usyk late stoppage or points. Usyk is a A* fighter, Joshua is B+ . The difference will show, despite the weight disadvantage.
You're making it out like it's a walk in the park. Your delusions will be destroyed very quickly. It's a tough fight for both. However, Usyk is better in almost every department apart from a couple. Usyk will find a way to win. He's the special talent here, not Joshua.
