Think Plant might be in for a severe beating here. Look what Canelo did to Smith's arm. Look what he did to Saunder's eye. Plant is about to be thrown to the lions, albeit for a ton of money.
Saunders was better imo, movement, elusiveness, jab. People downplay Saunders after the Canelo loss but people forget he was a 30-0 champion, Plant will get a one-sided beat down.
Plant has enough boxing ability to win but does he have enough power to make Canelo think twice before launching his attack? If he can't hurt Canelo or at least make him wary and hesitate I think he'll be overwhelmed at some point.
The blown up 160lber Saunders who looked shite in his last 3 fights and hadn't fought anyone legit since 2017 is still better than Plant. Plant has two advantages over Saunders - a few inches taller than Saunders and is more of a natural super middle.
Plant will fight harder but not better than Saunders. Saunders took some rounds off Canelo and wasn't looking too shabby for a while. I expect Plant to lose every round, he just doesn't have the skills.
Both are good. Plant also will do good and get some rounds. If he does not get knocked out viciously, it could be it. Canelo will need to put on gas one moment!
