Cooper knocked out Ali, practically. Would Mike Tyson have had a good puncher's chance against Ali?

That is the truth, a learning process.

If it wasn't clear already, I am joking.

Also, I voluntarily gave you the acknowledgement of fantasy fight records not being worth as much as real ones to assess greatness, from my recollection.

There’s a big difference between “ almost “ knocking someone out and actually doing it. That said, I suppose Tyson would have a chance of beating that 18 fight version of Clay.

Cooper hit Ali with the best punch he was hit with in the 1960s if not longer. Ali was up before the count of five and walked unsteadily to his corner as the round ended. Cooper had a good punch but certainly not Tyson caliber. Heavyweights, in general, have a puncher's chance and Tyson would have a puncher's chance against anyone.

Cooper was doing very well until he got cut. I've wondered the same myself. Had that been a rampaging Tyson at 20 years old in there, the fight is over. Cooper weighed about 183 he stated for that. Tyson a bigger guy and punches a lot harder. Ali at that age would have had nothing to hold Mike Tyson off him with.
